I'm originally from lower MI and we used to visit Traverse City a lot! I'm glad you feel comfortable enough here to share and so we can support you too! Everyone's goals are different and no need to share anything you don't want to.

Trying to give myself grace, but afraid I'm opening myself up for veering off course. It's been an emotionally exhausting week. My brother was diagnosed with cancer, my daughter has yet another medical mystery we are trying to diagnose, and my husband is away on a trip. I haven't exercised the past couple days because by…

Sorry, I don't have any experience with weight loss drugs. You may also want to ask your doctor for advice or an anti-nausea meds. Actually nurses have the best advice, but they can't prescribe unless it's a nurse practitioner.

Today I was busy being a mom... 1. I was my kids Uber 2. Got 6,000 steps (short shopping trip) I will have to make up the missed strength exercise tomorrow. Going to be crappy weather so will likely be on the exercise bike more. Bummed I missed walking outside while it was nice out.

I've found the key to cardio is making it something you enjoy. I seriously hate cardio too. However, for my walks I take my dog and listen to an audio book. The audio book keeps my mind distracted. I also set an alarm on my phone to alert me when it's time to turn around. This way I am not watching the clock or obsessing…

This week's update: Week 7 of the weight loss journey and week 4 of exercising. I'm down 1lb this week, and down 8lbs total. I have also reduced my body fat % from 50% to 48.7%. I of course wish the process would be faster, but I'm happy with progress. I know that building muscle will make the weight loss slower even…

I use a Fitbit for tracking steps and workouts. It came with a free 6-month subscription to their premier package which has a lot of workout videos. I use the videos for my strength training.

I was contemplating getting a walking pad too, but I have just been bundling up and walking in the cold. However, if it's a bad storm or rainy I ride my stationary bike (which I hate). The bike itself is fine, I just don't like riding stationary bike.

Today I Went for a freezing cold walk Did a core workout Went to a wine tasting 🍷

I'm on the mend and getting back on track with exercising. I tried to do some level of exercise while sick, but a low intensity. We have also had a decent amount of snow and colder temps which makes it more challenging to stay motivated. However, if it's not nice enough to walk I am substituting with our stationary bike.

So, I work from home and video conference frequently. I am definitely a comfort over style kind of girl. I live in leggings that look like dress pants. In the winter sweaters are a staple as well. Both leggings and sweaters are forgiving in size. If they start to fall off me, I will probably get something capsule stuff to…

Intermittent fasting (16hr fasting and 8hr eating window) seems to be the secret sauce for weight loss. When I kicked off this health journey, I was doing IF with no activity increase and pounds were melting away and by Feb 5th I was 229.8lbs. When I really started my walking and strength training I switched to counting…

Not a work out video, but I have been following this plan to build up the distance I walk daily. I have it hung in the kitchen where I walk past it daily and cross off each day I complete. https://www.royalmarsden.org/sites/default/files/2017-07/training-guides.pdf

Your progress is inspiring. Despite your physical limitations you are doing what you can!

Tommow will mark 2 weeks on my exercise routine, and thursday was 1 month on this weightloss journey. One month results are 229.8bs and 49.1% body fat. I've also lost 1in from my waist. I work better with a laid out plan I can follow without much thought. So, I've been following a walking training schedule which should bet…

I'm frustrated. I've been eating at a calorie deficit and exercising more, but this week I am up 0.2lbs and my % body fat is unchanged. However, I do know that 1) I normally weigh less in the middle of the week and 2) muscle weighs more than fat. So, I am hopeful to still see the scale turn downwards in the next day or two.

My daughters have decided they want to work out with me. I'm going to have to triple up our home exercise equipment for family exercise sessions. Today I did a 15 min walk, an arm weight lifting session, and some restorative yoga.
