Everyone's body is going to be different, I personally need a lot of time to recover between workouts and if I did anything else I would probably not recover properly. The only thing I do to increase calorie burn is add in a bit of walking

Do not eat back your calories or you will allow your progress or perhaps even gain weight. When the calories are added back in it does not account account for the calories you would have burned either way during that time had you been lying in a coma which is the majority of your calories burn for the day. MFP calculated…

There is nothing that will really boost caloric expenditure. All diet pills, supplements, etc.. Will do is cause you to drop water weight at best, at worst they can harm you. Stay far away from everything asides for a good diet and some extra movement

Obviously if you can bring your own food that would be best, however if you can't is best of you can avoid ground beef as it's extremely calorie dense. Turkey, chicken are much better options if they have them. Another option is to make your main meal ,lunch, so have a light breakfast and dinner. Keep in mind you can lose…

Hard to tell since they are not side by side, however often changes are not in how cut you are rather size which would be very hard to judge from pictures. I would recommend using a tape measure. Also recomposition doesn't work in everyone especially if you have experience lifting and even if it does it goes painstakingly…

It's more than non intuitive, it's not as visible. Every day I log into MFP to post my meals, I usually check my friend feed because i see it in the side menu, however this being under community doesn't have the same visibility as let's say if there would be a side menu called my groups.

That's awesome :)

My workout consisted of my second 5x5 SL session. So far I'm loving it as I'm used to working out for hours at a time and thus is a very short workout. I do have my hiit/climbing cycling workout tomorrow for about an hour

after just finishing P90x2 (yes P.A.P is awesome @thehoss316 )..i decided my body can use a recomp as i am 5'9' at 150 however i am probably at 18% bf and would like to be 15% .So for the first time in my life i am embarking on a serious lifting program. I chose 5x5 SL as its highly recommended for beginners and i am…

Weight training doesn't burn a lot of calories. There are blogs by beachbody coaches which will report calories burnt for body beast and they are complete fabrications. They are based upon hr monitors which is only makes sense for steady state cardio Main goal of weight training is to build or maintain muscle which will…

You are 100% correct. It's the reason why there are tdee calculators as they look at the full picture including your basal metabolic rate plus exercise etc.. and give you the total calculation. I wouldn't eat back more than half especially since hr monitor aren't that accurate to begin with
-
Starting point Weight: 150 BF% : 8.5 according to omron(complete b.s. in my opinion) Height: 5'9'(don't plan on changing this  just a reference point, wish I could though) Goal: recomp gain muscle lose fat perhaps go up to 155

weigh yourself holding the weight and not holding the weight, if its accurate there should be a 10 pound difference

I do try to get in enough protein however the basis of my diet is caloric intake so it's more important for me to not eat more than I burn than to get in specific types of food
-
The only benefit to a cheat day is psychological. So if it works for you than do it. Obviously if you eat in a surplus those calories will count. They don't get excused because it's only once a week... There is no hard scientific evidence to any metabolic advantage to cheat days , all those articles that right about it…

The question is way overcomplicating a simple matter. Eat less.

I don't have a great gif or image to post however does your friend give you any reasoning behind his statement? Also define negatively impact? This can mean many things from causing you to binge to actually chemically preventing weight loss.. The answer is dependent on the question

All body fat scales or handheld devices work using BIA body impedance analysis- basically analyzing the speed with which an electronic impulse runs through your body. The tech itself, regardless of the company that made the device, is error prone as many variables can influence the results especially water intake.I have…

My why. All my life I used food as a replacement of love and friendship. I ate to deal with all sorts of emotions. Eventually the sickness spread from my mind to my body and I became a diabetic plus high cholesterol and all the problems which come with that. My doctor told me that the good thing is right now it's…

My current goal is maintenance of my weight. I currently make healthy real food choices for the most part. I do give myself from time to time refeed days to compensate if I start to lose weight and then I will have treats however for the most part I stay away from that stuff as it's just addictive and I usually don't stop…

I definitely prefer volume to quality.. If any of you can find enlightened ice cream near you some of their flavors are 320 Cal's for the pint and it is as good as many ice creams
-
You know yourself best. To me I try to live without junk food as it makes me crave even more and I never get satisfied
-
Calories are actually based upon mass measurements (i.e. gram protein is about 4 calories...)not volume so scale is always more accurate
-
It's possible to eat a lot and gain a lot of weight. However every person is different. If I eat whenever and whatever I could easily put away 5000 calories and obviously it all depends on what you are eating. That was me just eating junk food for a day so everything is much more calorie dense
-
No difference at all. It's just about the deficit

Walden farms makes a creamer that's not bad

I love splenda in my coffee and it definitely does not make me feel bloated

Fitbit is an activity tracker does a better job at tracking daily activity than exercise. If you are using it for that than go for it however if you are trying to track calorie burn for specific periods of exercise you would be better off with an hr monitor like polar . this will give you a much more accurate calorie…

Yes and if you want. Whey is just a food and an easy way of hitting your protein amount per day, simply a matter of convenience if you are not interested in eating chicken etc... BCAAs are a supplement and are there are claims that they assist with protein synthesis when taken in pure form..

I assume you mean to see calories burnt. You need to log it as cardiovascular exercise.
