I like foods that are naturally sweet. No need for sugar when that Maillard reaction makes my roasted/sauteed veg. so good! And fruit! Do you know of the deliciousness of parsnips? I just love them!

Mine's fixed. Still thinking of going over to CRON-O-meter, though. Probably will.

You've...seen a doctor about this, yes?
-
Mine's back.

Same problem, here. It's like it's not even connected.

Use a weight trend tracking site, such as TrendWeight or Happy Scale. This should show whether you are losing in general.

There is a whole group on MFP for emotional eating, and I'm a member, as I do this occasionally. I think that says something about how many people are probably in the same boat as you. Whenever I feel really low, I eat to maintenance for a couple of days. That has been helping so far. I usually allow myself that option on…

I'm trying to lose my last 5-8 at a rate of about .5 a week and it is difficult for me not to get impatient with myself. I'm not even sure if I want to stop there, I might lose 5 more, once I reach my true goal. I'm taking it 5 lbs at a time, netting my mini-goal BMRs. Don't listen to the trends, just eat how your body…

Thanks! I think I'll start with these peaches!

That makes sense and is very true. Personally, however, I consider "healthier" to mean more nutrient dense, which means stuff like honey, maple syrup, molasses, fruit juice/puree/reduction, stuff with even trace amounts of nutrients. When it comes to sugars, I usually just eat foods that are naturally sweet, like sweet…

Use a weight trend tracking site, such as TrendWeight or Happy Scale and stop panicking. There's no need to worry. Also, be consistent with how you weigh yourself. Wear the same clothes or nothing at all, do it at the same time every day/week, use the restroom before weighing.

Order within reason. Treat yourself, but watch it. Show your daughter you are making healthier choices and are committed to doing well on this and becoming a better you. I would, personally, go for a meal that includes meat and vegetables and, if still hungry, ask for a little fruit for dessert. Skip the bread basket. Most…

Depends on what part of the chicken they came from and how the rice is prepared. The OP uses coconut oil, he doesn't say how much, nor does he say whether that chicken is white meat (such as the breast) or dark meat (such as drumsticks, thighs, wings)

Good luck to you too! :)

1000-1200 gross calories a day with exercise worked but I felt terrible. Lots of mood swings, behavior problems, etc.

@nesk2425 , @hazleyes81 is correct. We have to work out what's best for us. Mine are 45% carbs, 35% fat and 20% protein. On carbs, for me, this is neither high enough to hurt my head nor low enough to weaken my energy. On this, I can do well whether I rest all day or do a bit of exercise.

I'm with @dubird on this one. When I diet with exercise, I end up doing four meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner and a late snack to make up for whatever I've exercised away. I've got my goal set to my first mini-goal bmr and I don't want to net below that. My exercise is counted by my fitbit. I hardly ever enter anything…

I agree that the nutrition timing isn't worth it for the average, healthy person, but to someone with a condition, such as DM or reactive hypoglycemia, it could be useful to keep a watch on timing of certain things, like carbohydrates, to continue my example. Dieting to obesity is a psychological/instinctual thing. We fear…

Here's one! He loves humans!

What kinds of CreepyPasta do you like best, @Splenda_Daddy ? I like the urban legend ghost story types, the ones that read like folktales.

Water weight, sodium, stress, clothes, muscle, bodily wastes, carbohydrate intake, time of day and, if you are a woman, those times when Mother Nature asks you when you're going to give her grandchildren already. Those things can affect the weight you see on the scale. Try using a tracking site like Happy Scale or…

Try TrendWeight or Happy Scale to see the trend of your weight loss. Mine tends to be a pattern: lose, plateau, fluctuate wildly, lose some more, plateau, etc.

Sweet potato hashbrowns is part of my go-to breakfast! Today, I had some with two strips of bacon and two eggs! I just wash the outside and cut it up, no need to peel unless there's a bad part, toss in some onions, bell peppers, fresh garlic, black pepper, fresh parsley maybe some tomatoes and a tsp of coconut oil…

How fast is "fast" and what is your occupation that you are thus compelled? I'm curious now.

All I can offer is encouragement. Eat healthfully, take each day as it comes and do your best without tiring yourself completely. Your pain doctor is right, every small bit more you do is a victory.
-
I keep telling you people, so please listen! Diet pills are an alien plot!
-
No problem, I just assumed you were referring to me with that because the first part of the post was directed towards me and I felt my own post had sounded ignorant enough to give you the wrong impression. I was more concerned about how you thought of me than insulted. That makes sense. After all, some sprouts from plants…

The standard setting is "female losing 2 pounds per week"?

There is something that comes to mind, when women talk about getting hourglass shapes in this fashion, but it was, and is still, neither safe nor healthy. ::winces, as if in pain, at the thought:: And it's not exactly an exercise but there is some sort of training involved.
