Sure, no problem! One more little thing...figure out your TDEE - maintenance. Subtract 200-300 from that. Input that as your calorie goal. Try to get as close as you can to it at least 2 or 3 days out of the week. If you go over, no big deal, you're still under your maintenance. And even if you do go over your maintenance,…

Here's a little mind trick that may or may not help...lol! I set my macros to 0%-carbs, 15%-protein & 85%-fat. Because on here, when we go over a macro, the number is in red. So we think uh-oh...red is bad! So we try to do better. No matter what, your carb total is going to be red, unless you eat zero carbs. But maybe…

Sounds like an electrolyte imbalance maybe? You were drinking a lot of water in the beginning, and now you can barely drink any. When I started, I didn't have a lot of energy. I kept waiting for that Keto Energy to hit me. Instead, I felt lethargic, weak, brain fogged all the time. I thought I was keeping up with my…

12/31 - 195.4 01/07 - 191 01/14 - 192 01/21 - 01/28 - 01/31 - Well, it's not as much of a gain as I thought it would be. I was at 190 yesterday morning. Then I ate pasta last night. Not a whole lot, like not as much as I used to eat. My bg went up to 120. It was still at 120 this morning. My stomach is bloated and my knees…

That is sooo cool! Thank you for setting that up! B)

You'll need to open your diary if you want us to take a look.

NICE!!! Excellent weight loss! Keep it going!

Welcome! I find it's easier to pre-plan your meals. MFP is a very useful tool to do this. Just go to the next day, input what you absolutely HAVE to have first. For me it was bacon and eggs in the morning. Then just work the rest of the day around that. You just add or subtract what you like and make sure you avoid fruits,…

12/31 - 195.4 01/07 - 191 01/14 - 01/21 - 01/28 - 01/31 - I couldn't do it. I tried to keep off the scale, but I failed. I'm such a loser. Oh wait! Yes I am! LOL! 4.4 lbs for this week...gone! 36 total. I'm almost halfway to my goal!

Uh...did you miss the part where I've lost 33 pounds since October 1st?
-
Well I declare...I (along with others) must be a medical marvel then! Sorry if you don't believe me, but it's true. I guess you could say I was in a deficit by about 7 calories. I weighed in at 194.4 the morning before then weighed the next morning 193.

Hi there! I've been doing the Keto lifestyle since the beginning of October. I've lost 33 pounds so far! I'm finally in ONEderland! I didn't think I'd ever get back down to here! Yes, I ate a calorie deficit at first. I've eaten at a calorie deficit before, but never made it below 200 pounds. Before, I'd also consume foods…

No matter what "diet" you are using, anytime you go back to the way you ate previously, you can expect to gain weight. Over the Christmas holiday I ate some carbs. Not much. I was still under in calories. I had a dinner roll (white bread), white potatoes and cranberry sauce. Not a whole lot with the potatoes and…

Hi Melina! It was hard for me also. I was more of a pasta and white bread eater though. At least rice and wheat are a tiny bit better. Not much, but a bit. I just knew I had to do something. Past dieting attempts just made me get fatter. I would start off great and lose a good bit in the first couple of weeks, then slow…

I get the frustration of not being able to get the pie charts on the website, without downloading something else. But why do you need them? On the website you can see your macros at the bottom of your diary, so you know how much you need of each macro. It's just not in pie chart form. Am I missing something?

Hi all! I've been eating the Keto lifestyle since October 1st. I've lost 30 pounds, but more importantly, my blood sugar readings are now normal. My blood pressure is now normal. If you're looking for like-minded people, join the Low Carber Daily and the Keto groups. They are both very supportive and have tons of tips and…

I've recently read how a T1 diabetic will react to carbs, doesn't matter if the carbs are sugar or fiber. They cannot eat something with fiber and ignore it and not take insulin after. So count total carbs. If you go over 20 grams, don't justify it by subtracting the fiber from the total carb count and think you're doing…

I'm in! I've lost 6.2 pounds for the month of December! So here's hoping I'll manage to do the same or better for the month of January! I'm only going to weigh in at the end of the month though. I've decided to have my kid hide my scale on me until Jan 31st. Weighing in stresses me out! LOL! So here are my stats: Dec 31st:…

Yes, I could do that! That's not stressful! LOL! Ok, see ya over there!

Good job @krystlestar00! You're losing about a pound to a pound of a half per week which is perfect! May you continue that trend into the new year!! :)

11/30 201.6 12/03 202.8 12/10 199.6!! 12/17 198.4 12/24 195.4 12/31 195.4 So I went off the rails a bit on Christmas, and it's taken me a week to get back down to what I weighed last week! So not worth it! The stress from seeing that weight back up there was not worth it. So my resolution for the new year is to weigh…

I sorta cheated too. I stayed in a calorie deficit, but I did partake of some potatoes, a dinner roll and cranberry sauce. I refused to weigh myself the past 2 days, but I did this morning. Was a pound more than I was on Sunday. I felt sluggish too. Finally starting to wear off. My blood sugar reading went higher than it…

For plenty of great advice and support, I suggest you join the Low Carber Group and/or the Keto Group

Actually, there are many people who are able to sustain a Ketogenic lifestyle. In fact, it's easier to maintain it than a SAD because the foods you are eating is very satisfying. Once you are fat-adapted, you can eat a higher amount of carbs every so often to get that taste sensation if you want. Since I've started this…

Also, try this group: Keto Group. We have a weekly weigh-in challenge and you will find plenty of support there! You are lucky that you have a doctor who understands the Ketogenic way of eating and it's benefits for treating diabetes. It's definitely helped me. So you are going in the right direction!
