  • Seems very quiet in here (much like DC's own forum :() - Anyway, I'm in with just over 92lbs lost so far after 9 months with DC. Anyone is welcome to add me B)
  • Hiya - I'm using DC and couldn't be happier B) There's actually nothing the CICO crowd should be concerned about either as it is normal food (not 'diet stuff') and works exactly on the CICO approach. Have sent you a FR - Good luck!
  • I'm in Wolverhampton. Have been on MFP since the beginning of the year and have done really well using it. Always looking for more UK friends so everyone feel free to add me B)
  • Just wanted to add my own progress pics here as this thread has helped me loads so far - hope they help someone. Still looking to lose some more and get fitter. It can be done!!
  • Super job Andy - Well done B)
  • Yes, IT CAN BE DONE! Keep at it and you WILL do it - Use MFP to log everything, follow the guidelines and don't let 'bad' days put you off B) I know I'm a guy but I am still losing, having started at 290lbs at the beginning of this year - GOOD LUCK and keep coming back to let us know how you're getting on!!
  • You're looking fantastic - well done!!
  • Make your 'official' weigh-in on a Monday morning - it stops you ruining a good week's work over the weekend!
  • Ah, thanks so much everyone B) I wasn't too keen about posting but knew I had to as these sort of posts really did help me. Your fantastic comments show me it was worthwhile! Yes, I set my goal as a 102.9lbs loss, which would take my 'final weight' to exactly 85kg (I started out originally using kilograms but changed to…
  • Always happy to have new UK friends  Anyone can feel free to add me. Have been here all year and lost 82lbs so far. I do comment and also have an open diary for friends (I'm on Diet chef mostly though as I'm a terrible cook!) We can do this!!
  • Thanks BlackLabLover - tracking potassium intake seems to be quite tricky as most foods don't list this, however there appears to be a good outcome at the moment :) I analysed my stroke and I have obviously got complacent as I was overstretching my calves at the catch and going past vertical shins. I also took note of your…
  • The more the merrier! Always open to new friends, so feel free to add me, as can anyone else B) Good luck all - we can do it!
  • Keep it going! Seems like you're well on track. Good to hear the 23km went well and personally I've found the gap between 23km and 30km is fine if you're feeling good at that point, so I shouldn't imagine you'd have much problem reaching the the 30km mark. My own training is going well with most days getting a HM in. The…
  • ^ I agree with Shell ^
  • WELL DONE!! That's great news and thanks for letting us know how it went. B) Keep up the great work...
  • Kate - that's awesome!! You've done (and are doing) a fantastic job! I'm sure you'll have no problem reaching your goal, and you look great already :)
  • Hiya - If anyone wishes to add me then please do :) Always looking for new friends!!
  • Thought I'd juts update this with my progress this week... After having a rest day, the next two days I did a HM each time and then another 30km after a further rest day. 30km was much the same (just 18 secs slower) and the need to use the cushion at 24km. Only real difference of note was that, unusually for me, I suffered…
  • Omron BF508 Body Composition Fat Muscle Monitor - has been just great and very consistent. Not just scales as, if desired, it can also measure overall body fat, visceral fat (not sure how accurate to be fair but it seems correct to me) and also calculates BMI. There may be other features I don't use!
  • Even though I did a half marathon yesterday I was feeling pretty good today so thought I'd give the 30km a go, and completed it! B) Session went really well with only a couple of points of note really. First of all the hardest part for me was around the half way mark when it did become quite a struggle. I started to think…
  • Did level 5 on the C2 'feel' about the same as your WaterRower? I have my Fluid Rower set at 5 (it goes to 16), and my understanding is that for general distance and cardio most C2 users set it to around 3 (C2 users feel free to correct me!!). Maybe that will correlate better next time you're on a C2. Please let us know…
  • Hi solarfish :) I've not done a marathon yet but fully intend to in the reasonably near future. Currently I'm on on a short, enforced break as I'm waiting for a part to fix my rower! However, I normally row most days and do an hour session each time, presently achieving around 14km. My first half marathon was at the end of…
  • Simply amazing - well done!! An inspiration for sure. You've not only opened up a whole new future for yourself, you've shown us all we can also have one. SUPERB B)
  • Scooter (current fave track - J'adore Hardcore) Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound Darude - Sandstorm
  • Take a little more time before mouthing off Stef - I have just reviewed my nets cals and dropped below the 900 mark 15 times in the last 105 days. Fair enough if not perfect. I wasn't in the slightest looking for a 'great job' - I don't have a needy ego. God, I bet you're a blast at parties! Bye (but I'm guessing you'll…
  • @ruggedshutter Thank you :) I will leave my diary open for now but it does get annoying when all posts like mine are trying to do is give more information for people to make their own choices. I'm not saying what I'm doing is perfect, but as I asked the question originally I just thought it would be nice to report back.…
  • Thanks ruggesshutter B) I like to take it as just trying to be helpful generally but some can be over zealous!
  • @SezxyStef I have a life - I'm not a robot. Averages etc
  • At present it's easily sustainable and healthy. There is still quite a way to go and I see dropping to 1lb per week in a month or two. Not really sure where you're getting your data from as far as I can see going over cals has been few and far between (4 in the last 90 days). I had spotted that I need to increase the…
  • I'm eating approx. 2100 when exercising. Around 1400 when not.
