Inglorious Basterd's? LOL Ironclad? (When freshly armless, legless Brian Cox gets launched from a catapault into the wall of a castle....pretty gory)

Way to go! I started seeing a specialist in June of last yesr. My cholesterol and BP have come down, but my A1C and glucose levels are the same. I'm still in the prediabetic range, but I also have PCOS with insulin resistance. Hoping some medication will help with that. Aren't the specialists amazing? Why there aren't more…

I'm not a scotch fan, but I love bourbon. I prefer Eagle Rare or Woodford Reserve. So smooth!

I keep some Ghirardelli sea salt soiree in the cabinet for days like that. It's a nice dark chocolate with almonds and sea salt. Really tasty. One square is like 50 calories and helps curb the craving. Hormones are tough. I have to drink a lot of water, take my vitamins, and eat very balanced meals/snacks to avoid the…

I'm following. I have what my doc thinks is a medial meniscal tear in my right knee. Just finished up x-rays and waiting on my MRI. Then, we go from there. Right now, I am supposed to avoid weighted squats and take naproxen around the clock for a week...and do the RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) stuff. Hoping to…

I haven't had that happen, and I am really sorry those clowns said such horrible things. I wanted to throat punch this "trainer," who thought it would be best to motivate this one guy he was working with in our gym. The guy was morbidly obese and there for his first workout. The guy who came with him to train him kept…

Thanks for that information! I might have to ask about metformin if this doesn't work. I am also prediabetic, and my A1C levels haven't come down, even with eating better and losing weight. He mentioned metformin, so that might be the next course of action. Not sure.

Sam's Choice (Walmart) makes an amazing chicken and beef bone broth that has 7g protein per cup and is 100 calories. Maybe sipping that could help? It comes in reduced sodium, which might go down easier. I second baby foods. While they aren't the greatest, they are low calorie and very soft. Sweet potatoes, butternut…

I always love those conversations. "How did you do it?" Me - Generally diet, exercise, limiting calories, watching what I eat, making better food choices... Them - That's too much work. I couldn't do that. I just have to shake my head at them because it's the only way to do it and maintain. I have yet to find a magic pill…

These are my most favorite vitamins! I take the same!!

I take a multivitamin with extra vitamin D because vitamin D deficiency is extremely common in this day and age...and because I don't always eat properly to get the proper amount of vitamins and minerals. I take and calcium supplement the because I am 36 and calcium is necessary. I take a cinnamon supplement because I read…

Thanks! I'm going to try it and see how it goes. Anything is better than the painful cystic acne I was getting everywhere.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I am loving these Sweet Earth vegetarian and vegan breakfast burritos! Great portion of protein that really tastes great! My favorite is the functional protein lover's burrito. So savory and delicious!

You just made me feel a LOT better about this! Thank you so much! He's starting me on 25mg. I might go ahead and start it and then start my BCP when Aunt Flo comes.

I just mix my turkey with either a crushed chicken bouillon cube or some of the Montreal chicken seasoning, form patties, and grill. Put that on a toasted honey wheat bun with spinach, tomato, provolone, bacon, mayo, and dijon. So tasty.

Check Amazon.com. I got 2 pair for like $20 from. There. Super comfy, too! I buy most of my stuff from Amazon these days.

Canned peas, asparagus (although I eat it...blech), and blueberries (the raw ones...I hate how they pop in your mouth, and they are so bland). Also - bugs. I would rather starve than eat a bug. Ew. I avoid organ meat, but if it was all I had to eat, I would probably eat it.

Okay. So, the bad news... I have a medial meniscal tear in my right knee. I have tendonitis and inflammation in my right rotator cuff, and I have inflammation in my left elbow. He said I can't squats until my knee heals, and I might need surgery, depending on the upcoming MRI I have. I think the list of things I CAN do…

Except my gym would be happy to revoke your membership for intentionally breaking the rules. And I get it, they have been in business 30 years and offer really great membership rates because they make sure to take care of their gym and equipment. It's the best gym in our area that has childcare and has a large selection of…

My new gym doesn't allow chalk, which is a bummer. So, I am probably going to use gloves if I need them. I currently don't use anything.

Someone has obvious never heard of the flu pandemic of 1918, which infected 500 MILLION people worldwide between 1918 and 1920. It killed 50 to 100 MILLION people. What was interesting was that it killed young adults more than any other strain of flu. So......that which kills us....makes us deader....not stronger.
