Coconut oil - or you could bake them.

Cambozola! What is this magic sounding delicacy. Must try!

Girl take that complement and run with it! Feeling good about what you're doing will keep you doing it! :)

The office ladies are always trying to push off donuts and brownies and freakin bagels every week. I always just smile and say no thanks! and then I happily munch away on macadamia nuts. Those little suckers are buttery deliciousness. :)

What the heck is a buttery jack??? I suppose you could build all the individual components, minus the carby ones you won't eat like the bun....

I'm on my third batch and this is the best one yet. I used double the chicken bones, and some chicken skin and it's like golden liquidy goodness up in here. I add a T of butter and a good amount of pink himlayan salt to the cup when I drink it. Edit to add: I simmered this batch in the crockpot for 36 hours on low. I think…

I too haven't had a bitter broth yet- I've only made chicken though. What did you add to yours? I've read that adding herbs in the last stages of cooking can prevent any bitterness.

Also- it takes a while to get a true idea of what your optimal targets are- so don't be afraid to play with the numbers and see what feels most comfortable for you. It took me a good two weeks of tweaking before I found the "sweet spot". Be patient with yourself, you'll get the hang of it. :)

Very respectfully, I have to ask why you've set such a low calorie target? I'd be over all day every day if I was only allowed 1000 calories. Same thing would go for carbs- you can still achieve weight loss goals eating more than 13 grams of carbohydrates. My humble suggestions: Up your calorie target to a reasonable 1200…

Yummo! I am all about some skillet pizza!

YES!

This! Also, the proof is in the proof. I usually just let the naysayers know that I respect different things work for different people- but this is what works for ME. :)

Welcome! You're in the right place- this is a great group of people who have valuable advice and excellent support to offer. Being a busy mom, I can tell you prepping is the key to success- that and keeping it simple. My prepping includes a once a week day of boiling a dozen eggs, roasting a chicken (or cooking up…

I've not found a pre-mix that works for me- but through some trial and error I've found that coconut and tapioca flour (usually in equal parts) is a good ratio for baked goods with the addition of aluminum free baking power and baking soda added in as needed. I've used this for pancakes and biscuits.

Awesome idea! I'm going to have to try these.

Recipes here: https://www.pinterest.com/melismusing/paleoprimalketo/ Also, coffee or tea with butter and coconut oil and some heavy cream could become your best friend. A handful of macadamia nuts, portable Justins almond butter packets, or some pre-packed cheese and hard boiled eggs are good grab and go options.

Yum!!! Looks delish!

I rely on bullet proof coffee and fat bombs. Or a handful of macadamia nuts. Fat bomb recipes here (along with a bunch of others) https://www.pinterest.com/melismusing/paleoprimalketo/

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Frustrating to say the least. With regards to a portable fat bomb option- you might want to try keeping a Justins almond butter pack or something like that with you. It'll do the trick. You could also make your own and put 2 T of something nut-buttery in a small baggie or small container…

Yum! Both of those recipes sound great! My own mix is 2 T coconut oil, and smoked paprika and garlic.

I'm trying a plain old Grey Goose with cherry lime La Croix sparkling water. I LOVE those bubbly waters! http://www.lacroixwater.com/

I go over on protein at least a few times a week- I'm trying to plan and pre-log my day mid morning, so there aren't any surprises....but it is difficult.

Berries are good, you just need to adjust your intake of other carbs to make sure it fits your target while you are losing weight. :)

Probably the most challenging part for me, is watching people I love eat crappy food that I know is not good for them. I'm never one to get in anyone else's business and I will only give my opinion if asked - but wow, inside, I'm cringing. :( Hoping I can just lead by example and maybe help some of my family members and…

Are you near a Trader Joes? That might be your best bet. Or you could just forego it and stick with a less expensive dairy fat.
