Had my first a month ago. So far I've lost 24 of the 55 pounds I gained during pregnancy. Haven't been working out yet besides walking but I've been tracking all my food and it seems to be working!

Congrats! I'm due in a few weeks and have created horrible habits during my pregnancy. I am trying to get into the routine of tracking and make healthier choices in the best couple weeks so I'll be ready when it's time to lose the weight!
-
Feel free to add me! I am giving birth in a few weeks and have spent the last 9 months building terrible habits. I will need all the support I can get!
-
I don't think so...it's not maintainable and once you up your calories, you'll gain it back!

Walking is my friend. You can go as fast or slow as you're able and we have a treadmill so I'll turn up the incline for a bit more of a workout. I also just started lifting very light weights again

Definitely fatigue! I would feel so tired by the end of the workday, exercising was NOT happening. Also in the early stages when I had morning sickness, physical activity made the nausea worse
-
We got so much candy for Christmas in our stockings and after going crazy on it for a few days, I ended up just throwing out the rest. Couldn't have the temptation there!
-
I kept crackers or pretzels by my bed and had a few before I got up. If I felt nauseous during the day, cold fruit like apples always helped!

Hey guys! I'm 37 weeks along today. I always intended to have a "fit pregnancy" but had pretty bad morning sickness from about 6 weeks through 20+. So I didn't exercise at all during that time. And you know how it goes, once you get out of the habit, it's hard to get back in. So I didn't even start any sort of physical…

I am 31 weeks and have gained 40 pounds already. I decided to join MFP again to try and slow down that weight gain through the rest of this pregnancy! better late than never!
-
Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's good knowing I'm not the only who one struggles with this!

I can't have them in the house either! it's a guarantee I will binge! I'm missing the part of the brain that tells me when I'm satisfied & full when it comes to sweets lol
-
so this is what I'm taking from this..you are to eat AT LEAST what your macros say, and then if you have calories leftover you can go over? what's the best way to use IIFYM for? bulking up or losing weight?
-
greek yogurt with chia seeds or nuts. whole wheat crackers & cheese. air popped popcorn (love this one because you get SO much for so little calories). I always try to get a little protein in my snacks, helps fill me up.
-
sugar snappeas have the same calories as chips?
-
I used to be a big soda fan as a kid but as an adult, I'll drink soda MAYBE once a month! that's pretty much the only "bad" food that I don't like. give me all the chips, candy, chocolate, ice cream, baked goods, fries and fast food I can get!!
-
does everyone here hit each one exactly every day? today it looks like I'll be just barely over on carbs, just barely under on fat but spot on with protein.
-
spinach & goat cheese!
-
yes, i have actually been there already! i was actually hoping for some MFP members to give their accounts of how it worked for them.
-
that's me! I have a terrible relationship with food. I wish I could find a way to not feel this way...I have considered therapy for it. everyday when I binge or overeat, I just continue because "it's the very last day I will get to eat this stuff" it's a vicious cycle! every single day this week was "the last day". I feel…

I do log it all but with weight watchers, you no longer have to count points for fruit & veggies. I often wonder which approach is better.
-
I would always try to stay under or meet goal for carbs/fat but I never thought going over on protein was a bad thing. protein helps you feel full. I wouldn't worry so much about it as long as you're having lots of lean protein.

I'm mainly exercising for fitness but it's an added bonus when I add the calories burned back in & I have more cals to eat lol
