An entire beef wellington... which I will be doing on the weekend, just spread out over a few days. An annual tradition dating back centuries, to around 2013.

Sometimes we with more experience and understanding can forget what it's like to be a newbie, this happens in nearly any area of life. I try to be honest with myself and remember the start of my "journey," where I was being pilloried with this or that diet, ripped person A saying low carbs, ripped person B saying keto,…

I have been eating overnight oats for a couple years now nearly every day, it's become a favorite. You definitely need to warm them up. I cycle between a few different brands, currently I'm using Bob's Red Mill, but always steel cut, rolled just doesn't taste right or feel satisfying to me. One quarter cup is 36g on the…

Few years ago I was using some dubious protein brand I will not name, and the scoops were supposed to be 25g. I even had a small pastry scraper left beside the container to slide across the scoop and ensure it was level (I love baking). I got a food scale toward the end of that container and weighed a level scoop-- it was…

Dead tired, on about 4.5 hours sleep, a frustrating 1.5 hour drive home and no food since 11am, it was 4pm and I stepped inside my house to my fluffy kitty and wanting to relax with what was left of what was supposed to be a half-day. I had taken last week off from Stronglifts cuz traveling, I knew I had to get back into…

1. Get to gym to begin workout 2. Attempt first burpee 3. ????? 4. Wake up to see paramedics checking your vitals and people crowded around 5. Post success story on MFP about being a badass doing 50 burpees and passing out

Time to get some action movie stunt team roles dude, incredible!

Overnight oats (I always have 2-3 sitting in fridge ready to go) protein powder almond butter trail mix almonds (never comes in my trail mixes) some apple/banana/strawberries greek yogurt a piece of dark chocolate to sit on the top of it so it melts in and looks sexy as it swirls. I sometimes eat this twice/day, it's too…

I set up my work area at my office to stand at my laptop now, it's been 5 days now. I'm generally at my office for about 4-5 hours a few times a week, lots of driving to and from clients, had enough with the sitting. Can feel the difference in posture and pressure to stay balanced and not lean, it's such a simple thing but…

Man there was this Delrose rice and lentil mix at Costco I was making tons of for meal prep, love it, but I haven't seen it there the last few visits :/ Come back to me, my rice cooker is cryin' for thee!

Isn't that an amazing part of the journey, the shift in thinking, in outlook and your daily living? Inspiring transformation!

Having the same clothes fit but with the new, strange and exciting feeling of tightness from a lean frame that has gradually replaced a flabby one. Just reaching forward and feeling the shirt tighten around the shoulders/lats. Feelsgoodman.jpg

The irony of these threads is you can never do keto with all the popcorn you eat going through them.
-
I am assuming that "build some muscle tone" means becoming leaner (increasing muscle mass + decreasing bodyfat). Pick Stronglifts or Starting Strength, watch some videos on the form of the exercises and begin with very light (bodyweight or even just the bar) weights.
-
Stronglifts 5x5 or Starting Strength are ideal to get going. Watch some videos on form and practice with bodyweight and bare bar.

Go-to egg frittata, it's mega calorie packed, sliced up and that's a good 4 meals Then since the oven was already on I'mma eat them all

Are you really pretending I was only comparing steel cut to rolled? The strawmans are low effort, you can surely do better. Quaker instant oats, the trash that is all sugared up and flavored, is the usual understanding of oatmeal to the average person. Also, even comparing rolled to steel cut, there's a difference in taste…

Oatmeal is a god-tier meal, so long as we're talking steel cut realness and not that Quaker boxed trash. I eat it nearly everyday, sometimes twice/day, and have so for as far back as I can recall. Once in a while I'll batch in the slow cooker but normally it's 5 containers on Sunday night in the fridge, each with some…

"Before some audiences not even the possession of the exactest knowledge will make it easy for what we say to produce conviction. For argument based on knowledge implies instruction, and there are people whom one cannot instruct." - Aristotle

Piping hot steel cut oats with protein powder, almond butter, blueberries, greek yogourt, ground flax and a few peanut butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips that melt in... mmm easily one of my favourite meals.

Fresh grind + Aeropress = proof there is a god

Overnight oats is the best, it's become my staple. In the morning I mix in proten powder, flax seeds, some shredded ginger, nutmeg, greek yogurt and some fruit, it's so damn good.
