  • I'm taking Nature-Thyroid (non synthetic) and a few other supplements for my adrenals. I decided to go with a MD that is also a natrualpath. I'm not sure if my thyroid disfunction made me fat, it was probably my anticonvulsant (seizure) medication (real nasty stuff). Regardless, I'm off ALL medication other than the new…
  • I am in the same boat! I was recently diagnosed hypothyroid and have been worse off since I started therapy (5 weeks ago). Please feel free to friend me. I just posted on this same thread looking for folks to swap support with.
  • Thank you IsaackGMOON. I'll do some calculations and see how it pans out. And yes, muscle is muscle and fat is fat. My goal is to burn off some fat THEN focus on building muscle (I want to be in the best shape in my life when I hit 41 this year). I've been out of the game for 4 months due to a badly ruptured peroneal…
  • Feel free to friend me if you like. I'm all about swapping support as I find that it helps tremendously. I'm just getting back after a very difficult 6 months. I've gained back almost every pound I lost and am actively looking for motivated go getters to add to my friend list. Losing weigh is HARD, why do it alone?
  • I feel you lpwrs! I posted a similar note on my page today. After a completely crazy 6 months of injuries, illnesses, and senior projects (being back in school at 40 is tough), I discovered that I've gained back ever single pound I had managed to shed last year. I'm tired, stressed out, depressed, and READY for a change.…
  • Not on purpose. But I give myself a feebie day a week to eat an indulgent meal, I probably use those extra uneaten calories then.
  • That sounds great!!! I'll do that for sure! My hubby is an egg fanatic so I'm sure he'd love it too!
  • Great advice yall! Thanks!!
  • I have a VitaMix blender and drink whole veggie smoothies at least twice a day. Healthy carbs and tons of fiber. The carbs I try to cut are mostly breads, grains, and rice (though I'm half Chinese so cutting rice almost feels like a sin). I'm not a fanatic, but I seem to lose the most weight when I lower my carbs.
  • That's okay! I'm lowISH carb, not super strict. Just looking for fellow health conscious cooks that lean toward low carb cooking. I love to cook and I love to eat! I also like feeding my body healthy stuff. My challenge is staying creative. I need some help!!
  • Yeah! What he says!!
  • Hang in there! I take a med that slows my metabolism too. In addition, the month has been riddled with injuries, out of town guest, random stresses, and way too many dinner parties. Don't let it bring you down! Eat less, move more (when you are well enough to), and if you can only drop .25lbs a week, so bit it! All of us…
  • Hi there. My name is Tracy. I had a big motivation problem when I first started. Or should I say my motivations were directed in the wrong places. I was motivated to eat and be lazy and not give a hoot about my health. Since I've been on MFP, I've befriended some lovely people with issues just like my own. We cheer each…
  • I can't add people :\ Let me try from my home computer. I usually just use my phone but it's kind of glitchy.
  • I ate spam this week
  • I find the support I get from my MFP friends to be paramount. It keeps me on track and inspires me daily. Add me if you like (I would add you but I keep getting errors). I log daily and would love to cheer you on in your accomplishments too.

  • I get my sippy-sip on one day a week. And boy let me tell ya, those nights are always a blast! I try to be really good during the other six days; work out, eat super clean... but all work and no play makes Tracy a grumpy girl!! Feel free to add me (any of you reading this and relate) as I can't seem to be able to add…
  • Hi! Friends help keep you motivated! Add me if you like. I'd be happy to cheer you on!
  • 70 pounds!! What an awesome achievement! I'd love to offer support seeing how you've already inspired me! Feel free to add me if you like (I keep getting errors when I try).
  • I love food!! I come from a multiracial family and grew up cooking (and eating) at my Chinese mothers hip. My father is a culinary explorer himself and we've been adventuring for as long as I can remember. Feel free to add me!
  • I did that dance after getting off the scale this morning!

  • Fellow drinker here! I'm a SoCal girl and I love my tequila. I drink it straight with a talk glass in water on the side. My goal is to only go out and eat/drink once or twice a month. All work and no play makes Tracy a cranky girl!! Friend me! I'm having difficulty with that function at the moment!
