@BruinsGal_91 Yes, I'm a little geeky with the run tracking spread sheet though I've resisted the urge to graph the data. :D Did a track workout yesterday and felt my right hamstring and upper calf twinged after 2 miles of warming up. I've had off and on trouble with the hamstring when I try to do speed work but the right…

Ok! I got it this month! I'm only 2.5 days (10 pages) behind. l :/ :D Works not as busy and I have some time off coming up so I'm going to try to maintain a presence in this forum. I'm in for 200 miles this month. I'm currently training for a March marathon and I've cut my races way back for the beginning of 2019 to give…

@Orphia I ran 5 miles on 10-13-18 from 19:36-20:21 GMT

Thank you! It's good to be back. Now I have to fail at trying and keep up on this thread :| :D

I'm in for 150 miles for October. I have a 5k and marathon this weekend. I've been lazy since my last race (Sept 8) so I have no clue how I'll do. Hope everyone's running well.

After missing my July goal (250 miles) by 15 miles, I'm in for 225 miles for August since I begin my taper at the end of the month. I battled with a few weird injuries at the end of July and beginning of August. My Piriformis muscle was squeezing a small branch of my sciatic nerve which caused my left leg to go numb. Also…

@amymoreorless It depends how you train. If you take in fuel during your longer runs your body then learns to process fuel during exertion. I can't do GU's but some have told me that you have to drink at least 6 oz of water with those. Most of the fuel are designed to digest quickly 30 min and I've found they do help to…

Mileage has been low to start July off but it will pick up this weekend. I have a race (Independence Day 8k)tomorrow but I'm not going to kill myself since I have 10 miles to do according to my training plan. I need to read back a few pages and see how everyone is doing.

Beat my June goal (200 miles) by 25 miles so I'll say 250 miles for July since my marathon training plan is bumping up the mileage.
-
Met my June goal! On to July!! See you guys over there.

Recovery Run from Sunday's long run this morning. Did 4 miles at conversation pace with GF (marathon training plan called for 5-7 easy though). Felt good not to have to push the pace. I have a training run and 5k tomorrow where I'll make up the mileage. 68.5 miles of 200 down so far. Stay healthy everyone (mentally and…

I did 8 miles today. 1 mile warm-up 6 up-tempo to my HMP or 90% Max HR then 1 wind-down. My plan called for 2 WU 6 Tempo 2 WD but my watch said "low battery" and I didn't have my charger at home so I shortened the WU and WD. I turned around at mile 4 to run the same route back home. The watch died right at 5 miles. I think…

I once ate a $5 bill in front of a fellow homeless person to make a point. Later I would regret that point. That friend never forgave me. Moral: sometimes your principals aren't very good friends.

I have a 5k tomorrow morning (NASA Langley 5K Moonwalk and Run) that I hope to break 20 min finally. 5k's suck in general. They're a ballz out DGaF race. Plus there are several student interns participating. All said and done I'm going to have to sell out hard to rep the old folks.

Damn you Gary!! I cannot stop thinking of leaving work early to get a donut. I've made karaoke songs in my head to such thoughts.

I'm good for 4 Kennedy's in June.

May...I'll be easy and say 150 miles. May 20 I'm starting a high mileage training plan for Last Chance BQ.2 in Geneva, Illinois. So I'll be up there with my mate Gary and that sheep person that runs in Boston (lol). MobyCarp drops an injured 41:30 at a 10k (aka my PR). Dear Lord let him be a horseman of the Apocalypse or…
-
@MobyCarp- Congratulations for finishing Boston in a great time!! Those were some of the worst conditions I could imagine for a race. I hope to be there in 2019 to run it with you.

I'm also going to miss my monthly mileage goal for March, but i'll recollect and be erect for next month!

Hey everyone! I'm the worst at posting on here. When I get the time I'll compile race reports for Charleston Marathon, Newport News One City, and Va Beach Shamrock 8k and Half. It was neat seeing @MobyCarp at Va 8k Shamrock. Of course he was already finished and tanning by the time I crossed the line. That man is truly…

@zdyb23456 Happy 40th Birthday!

Great to have you back @NikolasKey! Ease back in.

March Goals: 1. Stay healthy 2. Continue training and trying to qualify for Boston 3. Run everyday (current streak 59 days) 4. Run at least 200 total miles 5. Have fun

Made my February mileage goal easily this month! It doesn't make me feel so good that I have close to January total miles (198) with less days and taper scheduled for the last week of February. I should have been sticking to my training plan more in January. I ran a lot of short Easy pace days then. I hope everyone's…

Finally to the taper part of training yea! Now not to eat all the food. I went out and did a really slow run this morning and it felt like he l. It was that misty rain this morning that doesn't get you quite wet but annoying enough to bother your eyes. I've been trying to schedule the rest of my taper runs with other…
