I completely disagree. In 9 weeks I have dropped 4 clothing sizes. I only had 18 pounds total to lose, and I've lost 12. There is a HUGE change in my body. I am not exercising, only dieting.

I track calories every 7 days, not daily. Allows for high and low days. Works better for me. Feel free to check my diary. I had pie, ice cream and bacon today; 12 of 18 pounds lost in 9 weeks.

We do eat meat, but are trying to build in a couple of vegetarian options every week. It seems most recipes have beans or nuts and since I'm not a practicing vegetarian, I don't know enough to figure out other options. Looking for ideas... Wrong. I've eaten at 1200 calories for 3 months. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet, so I'm not concerned about how long it takes to lose. Doing it right is all that matters to me, so that it will last. I stall for 2-4 weeks, and will then lose 2-6 pounds in a week. Woosh.

your calorie counts dont matter in 24 hour cycles, only over time. Many of us (including me) find it more useful to track calories over the last 7 days, instead of daily. You can do an allergen elimination diets/cleanses to help you figure out food allergens. I've done them with doctor supervision. They work. But they aren't about weight loss.
