We always host the party and I'll be making snacks no one will realize are healthy;). I have low cal spicy sausage and mushroom pizza, turkey chili, etc etc....
-
I will try the carbs and see if that helps. I was just really surprised at how weak I was and how quickly I was totally fatigued. Usually after a 2 day rest, I'd feel like superwoman!
-
I had my blood done a few months back, around Sept. Or October; wasn't anemic then; I am definitely a meat eater too... I take a multivitamin daily as well as a calcium/d supplement...

Diary shared.
-
Urine is clear- I drink over 12 glasses a day- usually about 6-8 cups of tea, 6-8 cups of seltzer
-
One more ps - thank you!
-
PS- def not dehydrated- I drink herbal teal all day long - I also drink prob. 6-8 glasses of seltzer every day. My carbs are also right around 50% over the course of any week...

Can you tell me how to open my diary? Don't know how to do that. From what I understand MFP and other sites typically overestimate exercise calories burned, so I'm only eating back about 1/2.

again - Reading is good. If you read my post, you will note i specifically state commercially processed. If you think the commercial processing of any food is the same as what you're doing at home, you're not very bright. But then you can't read, so uh, nevermind.
-
Umm, no, not everything is processed technically. If you eat all whole foods you cook yourself, you're not eating commercially processed foods.
Yes you are. Unless you're gathering from your own animal kills and garden. What do you think you find in the market? How did those things get there? Seriously, just…
-
^^True this. And the fact is, everything is processed technically. Many of us want to avoid overly processed, packaged foods with many things added to them to "improve" (?) the flavor and extend shelf life, which may not be as nutritiously healthy for us.
NDJ, will you find a way to argue with this, too?
…
-
That's exactly my point- I do my best, know it is bad for me, and about once a month, choose to eat something like that anyway. Try reading- maybe you'll get the point.
-
You are not alone. I agree with you, some people just don't like hearing it. I avoid all processed foods to the greatest extent possible. Fast food isn't alone in its unhealthfulness, but it certainly is not good for you. That doesn't mean you have to completely cut it out of your diet, but you're fooling yourself if you…

I had the same discovery recently. Bummer, huh?

How you create a treat day will determine if it helps or hurts you. For me, I eat slightly under my cals most of the week, and then on a Friday, my treat day, I eat over by about 300 cals. I still end up at a slight deficit for my weekly cals, which feels great to me!
-
Agreed- I'm 5'6 and only have 20 pounds to lose, give or take... My goal on MFP is 1 pound a week loss, because the cals are so low - 1220 a day- but I've been very surprised- I'm rarely hungry because of my food choices, and I've actually lost more than 1.5 pound a week so far! I'm sure I'll hit a plateau at some point,…
-
Have you adjusted your goal in MFP to see what it suggests for calories? Also, be aware that MFP drastically overestimates calories burned from exercise. Many people on here don't any any exercise calories back, or only eat up to 50% back. I'm in the later category- I only eat up to half my calories back.

I really don't have 'bad' food cravings anymore - they happen very rarely. A few things I did: Slowly replace something I craved that was unhealthy with a better for me alternative: with soda, I switched to seltzer + 100% fruit juice. Over time, I reduced the fruit juice so I drink plain seltzer all the time, and putting…

I try not to think about it and focus on building a bigger garden each year. Last yer was our first year in a new home, but I was able to can tomato sauce, and zucchini, as well as storing onions and garlic, and all the blackberries I could want. I guess the price of organic food is scary to me. I used to eat all organics,…

The weight loss is my reward:)

I take best guesses at cal counts and it's working very well for me. I cook for myself and my husband, and when a recipe is ment for 4 servings, I eat 1/4 of what is prepared and log those calories. If your wife has recipes that she uses, she can tell you the recipes and you can input recipes, or if the recipes come from…

People who do lipo frequently find the fat pops back up in other, weird, locations if they ever gain weight again, because the fat cells were removed rom wherever you get the lipo. Personally, I would not be ok with that liklihood. So if I get lipo on my thighs, what if it pops up on my neck if I gain weight in the future?…

I used to be a sugar addict. To the point that when I did quit sugar, I had a really nasty withdrawal like someone quitting nicotine. I had massive headaches and couldn't sit still for over a week, I was incredibly moody, crying and angry. I cut out all sugary foods, including fruits and breads, and alcohol. That was about…

They trigger migraines because those chemicals aren't healthy. Some people are just more obviously effected than others.
-
^^^this. But you can also use 100% fruit juice for flavor. No nasty chemicals.
-
Love what others are saying here, but maybe you could also rethink how you feel about being hungry. I also used to hate that feeling, until I had the thought, what is so bad about this? Really? I realized I was being pretty silly. I get PMS cramps worse than hunger feelings every month - I don't freak out about that, so…

Sounds totally realistic to me. In my first 2 weeks I lost 1 1/2 in. From my chest, and I only have about 15 pounds total to lose. As long as you measure the same location and same tightness of hhhe tape each time you measure, you can trust it. I like to see the scale move, but I LOVE to see the tape move!!!

I have Lyme disease and I have bouts that come on and totally flatten me. When I struggle with fatigue and can't move, I try to watch my food more. My husband also steps up and does all the cooking. Also, I've learned that acupuncture really helps me battle through the fatigue, so when I feel it coming on, I make an…

It sounds to me like you're having a temper tantrum - so go ahead! Have your temper tantrum. I probably have at least one a week. For me it's about working out. I always feel treat after I work out, but before hand, I'd like to lay on the floor and scream and kick my feet rather than do my workout. It used to stop me from…
-
Yes- this is what I do. I plan what I eat in 24 hour periods, but don't worry too much about it- I look at how I'm doing in the weekly view. Also, even with a job when you're stuck to your desk, you can move! I have stood up for phone calls, I have done squats right at my desk once an hour, I have done jumping jacks when I…
