I'd rather not have the chemicals in slimfast shakes so I make my own. I use organic skim milk (8oz), 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, 2 tsp sugar and 2 tsp fiber powder. Sometimes I'll add fresh fruit. I put it in a blender and have at it.

Hello and welcome to MFP. There are a lot of helpful suggestions here. Good luck to you in finding what works. I have found making small sustainable changes and ditching "diets" works best for me. I like the structure of calorie counting. I wish you good health along the way.

I enjoy going out to eat. So I eat half (or less) of whatever I choose from the menu. Helps me enjoy life and stay within my calorie allotment.

I weigh daily as well. I have worked hard mentally to accept fluctuations as a part of life. I read a post that offered a great suggestion of weighing daily then averaging those weights and using that as a weekly weigh in number for MFP. Makes sense to me.
