  • I'd highly recommend checking out Reddit. Look at /keto for general help and /ketorecipes for recipe ideas.
  • I would recommend checking out the keto subreddit for a little more in depth help. Just from one keto newbie to another, it may still be keto flu you're experiencing if you aren't getting enough of the salt/nusalt/Mg that you supplement. The amounts I've seen recommended for keto are 5000mg of sodium, 1000-3500mg…
  • Lol "carb slip up" was referring to eating breaded chicken wings which I DIDN'T mean to do, not the chips I ate afterwards. That. That was a conscious, delicious decision. (「`・ω・)「 And I'm definitely not punishing myself. I don't feel guilty at all. Like with any sort of diet, I went over my intended limits (on accident,…
  • Two nsv kinda similar and they happened close together. 1. My seatbelt fits without cutting into me now. 2. I sat in one of our armed wooden dinning room chairs (usually we only use the armless ones) and my hips actually fit without hurting!
  • I know that some people DO do vegan keto, but I haven't ever been vegan or vegetarian so I don't even know where to start trying to keto-fy that way of eating. Thanks for the encouragement too!
  • Currently 80lbs away from one-derland. I'm really hoping I can break through this plateau I'm on and keep going down from here!
  • I don't have any specific ideas for the chin area, but, there is already definitely a difference! Especially around your cheeks and forehead, so just give it more time and I'm sure the rest will follow. :) You're really doing great!
  • Thank you guys for the kind words. I really needed to hear it today. I made myself log what I are yesterday and was about double my calories too. Bluh. I do definitely need to keep myself from snacking in the morning. Snacks need to be in the afternoon for me or I just keep snacking all day despite what I've budgeted. I'm…
  • Bump so the day crowd can see this post
  • Just tell yourself that once you're actually IN the water, all people will really be able to see is your head and shoulders, the part of you that people see all the time anyway. Also, once you start swimming laps it's easy to lose yourself in focusing on which lap you're on, or trying to figure out the name of the song…
  • Thank you so much for the support and encouragement, everyone! I know my previous 291 calories weren't significantly higher than my current 271 calories, but for the last 3-4 months I've gotten use to *ahem* slightly more calories than that, and I don't want to sabotage myself. I know I'll get use to it again eventually,…
  • Current goal is to go from 291 back down to 271 after being off the wagon for a few months. The next goal after that is getting into the next size down in pants.
  • I'm down 56 pounds out of 162 which would put my goal weight at 175. (I'll probably want to lose more once I get to 175 but that is my goal for now.) It's so weird for me to think that I'm already about 1/3 of the way there because a lot of time it feels like I haven't changed at all. I know it's really all a mental thing…
  • I'm at 137 days and counting. So far I've lost 54.6 pound!
  • Thanks for the advice. I think I'll try looking into that tonight after work.
  • Yeah, if I was hungry constantly I would definitely raise my intake. I eat a fair amount actually but its mostly stuff like fruits and vegetables. So if I'm not eating every hour or so those numbers can stay a little low. 1200 is not the norm for me though.
  • I'm trying to keep this in mind! I need to keep moving forward and not just give up. It's just difficult for me right now because I don't know where to start untangling the mess I'm in at the moment. *sigh* one day at a time I guess.
  • I think I might need to take your advice and go see my therapist. It's probably been about a year since I was last in but I think it's time to catch up. (i SUPER won't be taking any pills because I've had panic attacks from them before and it is soooooo not worth it to me!) But the rest of your advice is good. I need to…
  • You're pretty close, I'm 288. And yeah, my calorie goal is 1560 for now which I do just fine with, but some times because of stress or just being too busy I forget to eat that much. I always make sure I have at least 1200 though so I don't go into starvation mode and make things even more difficult. You're right though,…
  • Thanks guys. I have managed to stay on track calorie wise. Which seems like a miracle cuz there were several days I said "*kitten* it!", added a bunch of crap food in, then let it sit a few minutes and then by the time I got to the store I'd end up only getting one thing instead of ten. It feels like MFP and counting…
  • This morning while I was still lying in bed I was actually able to feel my hip bones through all my pudge? Like???? What...?? I forgot I even had those things. Like LEGIT forgot because it's been so long since I was actually able to distinctively touch them. (it was actually starting to freak me out a little bit
  • Fingers crossed that I can join as the Slytherin I am at heart! Looking forward to this!!
  • SW: 337.4 lbs CW: 296.8 lbs GW: 175 lbs (might change this when I get there) Height: 5'4.5" Current calories: 1680 I would love to have more friends on here that have similar-ish situations to me. (Bonus if you're in Mesa AZ. Irl work out buddies anyone?)
  • You also need to keep in mind that the diary is automatically set to private, and for the longest time I had no idea. Not to mention I had no idea how to change it. Now that I do know I still haven't changed it, because: why do strangers on the internet need to know what I ate; my friends haven't asked to be able to see…
  • I just wanted to say thank you for the support and advice you guys have given me. I was feeling really down yesterday but today feels like a new day. I'm making better food choices again. And... while it may be a while before I jump back into zumba dvds, don't intend to give up on it completely! I will definitely give…
  • Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for telling us how to do that. I had just been doing the correct math in my head every tune I wanted to know how much I'd lost cuz I entered my beginning weight a bit lower than it really was by mistake. This makes things so much simpler!
  • I am 100% an emotional eater. Since using MFP I've been able to put a stop to this because taking the time to enter the food in I want to eat and seeing what it would do to my calories is enough to make me really think about what I'm doing. Last night though a big wave of anger and sadness hit me out of nowhere. I really…
