Just wanted to say thanks to this thread for the discussion! It has helped me put into view to have a strength training first approach to my my work outs right now. I lifted 3 times this week and feel great. That with 15k steps running after my kids and doing yard work 😊.

My favorite way to cook veggies is by roasting them in oil, salt and pepper. Super simple but is tasty no matter the veg. Easy to add mushrooms and onion for extra flavor too. I also like cooking them up in pasta sauce with or instead of pasta with meatballs or chicken.

I would say give it some time! The first time I did a sort of strict paleo/whole30 was for 60 days in 2012. I didn't count calories back then-- the reason I loved it so much was you can have freedom within the restrictions of paleo. I lost about 10 pound over those 2 months.
