Hi all! I was curious to see if it was too late to join your challenge for this month? Like many others, any and all accountability and motivation are a huge boost.

Hi all! I've been on MFP for years but I just found your group. I'm 50, turning 51 this month. I'm in Nebraska and have just gotten re-energized to actual work on losing weight....again. I've been losing and gaining the same 30 pounds for 4 years. I need to lose so much more than that. BUT, for now, I'm only focusing on…

I'm another one climbing back on the wagon. I started in January and did pretty well. Lost almost 20 pounds. Then let some life issues get me off track. They were such good little excuses! So now I've let most of May go by and mentally beating myself up each and every day, all while I'm eating what I want and not…

It's hard to get back with the program after you have a gain like that. All you do is realize you screwed up and start over again. New day = new chance for change.

Sounds good, thank you!

I'm just starting out. This is my first week with C25K training but I'm extremely excited to be finally working towards my dream of being a runner/jogger. Will you be doing this again for May?

1. Measuring my food instead of eyeballing it. Amazing how far off my perception was. 2. Not falling back into the trap of giving up due to a missed exercise routine, a cheat meal, feeling sick one day, etc. The old me would have allowed that to completely derail my new way of life. Now I keep the past in the past and deal…

Good luck...that's so great that you can do it together and be support for each other!

You're lucky and I'm glad you aren't. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Thank You!! I was actually at my lowest adult weight when we met. I hadn't weighed that since about 7th grade. He never saw me naked then, either and at the time I looked pretty danged good! My mother used to joke that I'd never have kids because I wouldn't let someone see me naked. Well, the joke's on her!

You're right, it is. It's something I hope to work on. I know it doesn't make sense and I know he loves me. My brain knows it. But that fat girl that was always teased and always hating her body says otherwise.

I've been with my husband 25 years, we have a 23 yr old son and my husband loves me dearly. Most times he's wonderful and I wouldn't trade him for the world. He insists that he doesn't care about my weight, he loves me and how I look doesn't matter, blah blah blah. In 25 years he's never seen me naked. Not one time. Even…

Having people to motivate you, tracking everything you eat, drink tons of water and DON'T QUIT!!!! I had a gain this week of 2 pounds and it's hard and it's frustrating. But I know areas where I could have done better and today was a new day. If I give up the weight will kill me.

:p Absolutely!!!

I would do the exact same thing! I've never bought the pre-made tubs because I have had previous experience with the roll of cookie dough and those NEVER made it to the oven. I'd have chocolate chip cookie dough coursing through my veins if I could.

Love it!!!! My husband's "friend" used to come to our acreage to hunt and get drunk almost every week-end during hunting season. My husband didn't hunt or drink, the guy was just using him for free hunting land. I wish I'd have thought of this!!

1. I don't eat cake, will give it to someone or throw it away because I only want the frosting. The cake just gets in my way. And the frosting MUST be chocolate. 2. My son thought pizza was only the end crust and about an inch of pizza for years because that's all he ever got. I would eat the rest of his piece. I hate the…

Sooo happy to know I'm not the only one! I've had a terrible weakness for Betty Crocker frosting for years. When my husband wanted cake he'd buy an extra frosting for me so he could actually get a frosted cake.

I was the same as you, letting my brain scare me too much. My dad got me a gift card for the YMCA in our town and I felt too guilty to not use it (he knew I would!). I was TERRIFIED to go and do anything. I am the biggest person in the classes I'm going to but I'm so fortunate because every single person in my classes and…

The most important thing - Don't Quit!!! It can be hard to keep going but the nice thing is that every day is a "do over". You can't change the past so no sense in stressing about it or let it affect today.

Me too!

I just send you a friend request and am definitely interested in a "let's lose 100 pounds" group. I'm currently at 301, started a month ago and have lost 12 so far. Would love to find more motivation & accountability and hopefully help others too. Please, anyone, feel free to add me.

I joined my gym on the 5th of this month and COMPLETELY understand your feelings. I went to do the weight training that my trainer scheduled for me and I was so nervous and waiting for "the looks" that I really struggled to not talk myself out of going. After all my stress and worry I came to the beautiful conclusion that…

Hi! I just started 2 weeks ago, got the Flex yesterday and need to lose over 100 pounds. I'm sending you a friend request. I'm looking to add people, I figure the more the better, we can all motivate each other!

I'm new, just a couple of weeks in, but I don't think I'll be doing any days off for a long time. For me personally I have realized that on my own I cannot manage to live anything close to a healthy lifestyle. I'm afraid if I cross the line of taking a day off it would be easier to take the next one and the next one and so…
