we have practically the same weight goals and height! I sent you an invite :)

I'm also looking to lose 40 pounds! I'm semi-new to the whole workout thing, but aiming to complete my uni's burn 10,000 calories in 8 weeks challenge, so I'll probably be needing some motivation too!

I'm very similar but in the opposite way, I really dislike the texture of a lot of the healthy foods that are mixed into things, like onions and tomatoes in spaghetti for example. Sometimes I've been forced to eat it out of politeness and it feels like I'm going to retch or something. I'm never really sure why I'm like…

Thanks a lot! I'll definitely be watching the video :)

My boyfriend actually has one of those! He says it's really good, so I'll have to invest in one when I have some spare money lying around!

Thanks for the advice! I think this is the main thing, I just want to look good in shorts so that I can get a tattoo that I really want!

I've just bought a kettlebell and going to pick it up tomorrow, also got the recommended Enter the Kettlebell book, I don't really feel comfortable weight lifting at my gym, their section is really appalling, especially the barbell section, so I figured something I can do in my room will mean I actually do it, instead of…

yeah, I have a kind of body image in mind so I guess that'll just be my long term goal. My main motivation at the current time is that I really want to get a tattoo but really don't see the point unless I'm thin enough to show it off by wearing shorts haha, that's my long term goal at the moment anyway!
-
I think this is probably the best idea and what I'll aim for, thanks :)

That's the problem, I've never been an ideal weight for myself, so I really have no idea what weight I look good at
-
I think this is the right way to go, I was mainly just curious because I have no idea what my ideal weight is. I also don't have access to scales on a regular basis, only when I go home from uni, which is normally every 3-4 weeks. My uni gym doesn't have them for some reason and I'm really too tight on money at the moment!…

Honestly it's more my fitness levels I'm hoping to improve by summer, since I don't really go on a bikini style holiday, but I'd just like it to be noticeable when I go back to see the people I saw this Christmas, kind of thing. It may be unrealistic and I know that, but I think since I've never really lost weight before,…

I'm also set to sedentary with the amount of workouts I intend to do so I hope that my calorie goal should be quite accurate. The only real walking I do is in 10/15 minute slots, except for maybe once a week when I go grocery shopping.
-
I guess the best way is to just keep losing until you're where you want to be

This is what I'm doing now, going to the gym and interval training 5 times a week. My university has a challenge of burning 10,000 calories in 8 weeks and this is the kind of thing that really motivates me. I think it's better if I just stick to calorie counting that and feel good about that kind of work out.

This makes a lot of sense, I think it's provably not as beneficial for me then because my main aim is going to the gym since I don't have as much home to be walking about whilst I've got uni work and stuff. Thanks for the advice!
-
Makes sense, I'll definitely be wary of that, thanks.

yeah I just checked on Tesco and it doesn't look like they have them in the UK, I'll look out for similar flavours though, thanks!
