Good evening yall ^_^
Not sure how to word this exactly but I´m wondering are there any of you picky eaters out there who has found a way to follow your healthy diet more easily?

I´ve always been a picky eater and never been much into meat. "recently" in a way i have been getting worse concerning that, a lot of food I could eat before i can´t barely anymore, since I tend to get this "disgusted feeling" when eating or afterwards?concerning them. It´s a really weird feeling.
I get especially disgusted with anything oily or that has fat on it, the texture in most foods I just find repulsing. So the food choices I have for the day are pretty limited, very often under calorie limit but i just recently I´ve tried using my food diary again.
I do enjoy fruits and veggies , and my arch-nemesis.. bread haha, which I´m trying to stay away from, though strangely a lot of fruit are suddenly overly sweet to me, I can barely eat apples...?.

I do think In my mind I really would throw my food up if it didn't effect my teeth only reason why I don't do it... ><
I really desire to lose weight and eat healthy and actually enjoy it the same time.

I´ve tried my best to force it but it just doesn't work that way for me, Do any of you have suggestions that maybe have worked for you?

Thanks for reading anyway. ^_^ <3

Two thoughts: one, could you be pregnant? And two, have you recently started or stopped any medications? All of these have caused sudden food aversions and nausea for me.

Nope not close to being pregnant, and no to the next question as well. i am on medication though but have been for a while since it´s for my thyroid. ^^ It´s all quite weird and has been happening slowly for some time.

^This part of your post really stands out as a red flag to me that counseling might be a good option for you. I have foods that I don't like (I'm not a big meat eater, I prefer it ground, I'm not a big fan of fish, etc.) but if you really can't or don't want to keep the food down then it's interfering far more than just standard pickiness. It might be worth looking into a couple of sessions with a therapist who's good with aversion therapy.

I'm very similar but in the opposite way, I really dislike the texture of a lot of the healthy foods that are mixed into things, like onions and tomatoes in spaghetti for example. Sometimes I've been forced to eat it out of politeness and it feels like I'm going to retch or something.

I'm never really sure why I'm like this, but I absolutely hate it. My (probably awful) solution has to just avoid it and search around a lot for healthy options with foods that I like, but I think maybe the people suggesting therapy are right if it will prevent you from creating a healthy meal plan.
