Hi all! Thanks for your comments and advice. Gonna reply to a couple things and clarify too... - I started the 6 week HITT program to give me some discipline and the rest on my own walking and weight training. I also wanted to mention that it isn't a hardcore HITT per say; the trainer is one on one and tailors it to your…

@VeronicaA76 - that is such solid advice and wow you are like my fitness role model! I am not wanting to do quite that much but wow good on you! I like that idea around turning the unhealthy want into a more healthy meal and that way it still feels like you are eating what you wanted but is better for you and probably…

Thanks for that @deannalfisher @enyagoboom - Well I've signed up for the fun 5k at Disneyland Paris in September (its a stop go race with taking photos with the characters, etc so I was confident I could do it) and that has really been my major incentive. I love Disney so that got me SO motivated and dedicated! After that…
-
@lilacnine - this may sound like a silly question but what does "calories at maintenance" mean? @swat1948 - sorry for your loss; and thanks for the insight. Everyone takes their journey in a different way and I am glad you found a way that works for you!

@tinkerbellang83 - you are amazing for making that! I understand; and yes that makes total sense about the calorie deficit and energy levels...

@IONickname - One thing I learned in this past few months is to face those "bad eating" days. Track them and own it. It is quite an eye-opener and makes you take more accountability for your choices. That way when you are about to make them again, you stop and think. A simple concept that applies to all areas of life, but…

@duebedm - thank you for those tips - yes pre-planning is such a huge success strategy. I've added you :-) @tinkerbellang83 - Thank you - I didn't know exactly what the activity referred to so that helps A LOT. I have made sure my goal says 'not very active'. I'm not logging exercise (doing it in my daily journal by hand)…

Thanks for such a quick response @deannafisher - According to my wrist tracker, I am doing on average 8000 steps per day. On the rest days, it will likely be more around the 4000 mark.
-
@kommodevaran - thank you! @animatorswearbras - the bus stop thing is totally do-able and I almost kick myself for not thinking to do that @slaite1 - thank you - I will friend some folks to get that group feeling of support @InkAndApples - appreciate the comment and it sounds like your trainer is one I would need. There…

@capaul42 - No, I am not losing. With the March weights, I did lose inches but no weight. But I am unsure about what I can and cannot have as he said no carbs but oats and sweet potato, no alcohol, and two days of eating that are exactly the same rotated with a caloric goal to hit. There really was not much guidance in the…

@kgeyser - I'm starting out with the fitness and weight loss after some unsuccessful attempts. Really committed this time and just want to follow what works but be healthy. I'm 5'3, 312 lbs. Plan (once this migraine or headache hell is gone) to gym 3-4 days a week for weights, walk 4-5 days a week, 30 minutes,…

I am hitting around 1400-1600 calories if vegetables are counted - is this enough?
-
@casiobarnes - seriously feel your pain! I only have 2 cups a day in the morning, one maybe on the weekend, and a diet coke in the afternoon. I know the arguments about diet soda... but it is what it is for me. Thank you everyone for your input. My goal is to lose 150 lbs and this is the start of the journey and it has not…

Sodium is good since I am not eating anything processed and not using salt. One thing that has always confused me is that people say higher protein, lower carbs to lose weight. I am a big person, I am at 310 and have a long way to go. And my goal for the gym is 4 days a week (2 upper, 2 lower weight sessions) and walking…

MFP Goals are for loss of 2 pounds a week: Calories: 1,930 Carbs: 50% Proteins: 20% Fats: 30%

@burlchen15 - I am good with the diet, but I not so much with whatever is causing the headache and migraine. All signs are pointing to the caffeine withdrawal but this is the first time I did anything like this. I am not sure why he wants me to cut out caffeine but says it is addictive and that is about it. But you guys…

Overall goal for me - lose 150 lbs. According to my trainer, his goal here is to get rid of the crap I was eating out of my body, in his words, the toxins. He attributes the headaches to the no caffeine and no sugar (basically going through withdrawal). It is a very strict diet but I can eat lots of fruit, veg, protein,…

I eat the exact same things on the weekends as I do on the weekdays; I am a creature of habit, except that cheat meal, which is between 800-1000 calories. Oh, and no alcohol. And sometimes I skip breakfast, but that is because I sleep til like 11:00am so have breakfast for lunch and then the protein shake, super shake, and…

Diary open. This weekend had an out-ing and kinda slipped a tad with the eating but stayed under my calories...

No; healthy except the unhealthy weight. Wondering if my body is in shock you know. Complete sober cold turkey. Started eating right. Exercising. Sleeping at a decent time. Complete lifestyle change; 5 months into living in a new country too. I know my body fat is high from one of those grip the handles of a device tests…

Yes I'm using a good scale and eating low fat, complex carb, lots of veggies, low sugar, lots of water etc. My trainer says I've got a lot of muscle for a girl my size (farm kid) am leg pressing 160kg and when I am working out 3-4 times a week it is for an hour and 15-30 min each
