  • I quit smoking and it's actually caused me to lose weight for the first time ever because it has empowered me. Overcoming that addiction has been similar to overcoming binging or overeating. If I can quit smoking I can say no to excess. @TheOwlhouseDesigns‌ I cannot agree more with you about how people can't eat more than…

  • If I'm still genuinely hungry (not just bingy hungry) I typically eat over. I listen to my body and that's more of what this process is about than being under 1200 calories (I also exercise). So, if I want to rip apart a steak with my bare hands and shred it with my teeth because my hunger is inate and my body wants meat,…
  • March 1-7: 4 miles (last week was rough) March 8-14: 13.8 miles (back on track) Whoo hoo!!!!
  • Oh my gosh! This is so true!!! My Netflix binging has decreased significantly since I've started working out and worked on eating healthy. Which in turn has cut back on my food binging. Well whatdya know!!!! And every time someone says that to me, I just think, no, it's your choice.
  • Oh no I just read its social eating. I too struggle with this and have yet to overcome it completely. Here's some tips I found though. PHYSICAL: I posted a thread a while back about that. The best advice I was given was to eat a high protein meal that will satiate me prior. MENTAL: Sometimes I use to lie to myself and say,…
  • I understand your pain. I pre make veggie snack bags for the whole week. If I am tempted by a treat and it is not going to fit, I put my head phones in and put on an empowering song. I force myself to eat the veggie snack bag and drink two 8oz of water. I dance around the kitchen in celebration of my strength while eating…
  • If you want to try pills, go try it. But I will tell you this. I had two of my friends use weight loss/appetite suppressant pills and sure, they lost weight, but they gained it all back as soon as they stopped. Economically that would cause you to spend more money then a co-pay to a doctor. Maybe pintrest or Google some…
  • Labatt 52 cal beer is what I drink when I want a brewski. All drinks have calories. I suggest putting your fav ones into myfitnesspal and see what you come up with on calories. Bars make drinks different sizes though so keep your ounces in mind. Remember these calories will be empty and offer no nutritional value and still…
  • I ran into an over training problem a few weeks back. I would spend 3+ hours at the gym but then I wanted to eat everything in my fridge. Right now I've scaled back my workouts and am not eating back my calories burned from working out. Now I'm back on track. Not sure if this is the solution to your problem, but it may…

  • My goal is 25 miles.
  • When I served they took a break for lunch. I left and got subway. The following day when it was all closed and stuff they ordered us pizza. Though I'm certain you could pack. They will have a fridge you could put it in.

  • My advice is this: Tune in to yourself mentally. Find out what makes you binge and make bad choices and then attack the cause of that. For instance, when I open the fridge, I wanna grab something quick and easy. I don't want to cut up a bag of peppers or carrots. Or spend extra time weighing them out. So, on the same day I…
  • Letting my eating habits be run by stress. Resulted in most dinners looking something like this- Yogurt, strawberries, ice cream, and an entire row of Girl Scout cookies. Also, I too have eaten an entire little caesars pizza. NO MORE!!!
  • Sometimes I like to wear my glasses when I run on the treadmill so I can get lost in my run and just go with the flow instead of focusing on my time. Especially beneficial if I am watching how much time I have left those last few minutes. I never run outdoors in glasses.
  • Thank you so much everyone!! I really appreciate the advice, feedback and support. I went for a run today after switching my eating schedule and was really strong. I also weighed myself and have lost 3 lbs this week which I know is too much too fast. I will be increasing my calorie count as of today.

  • Just remember tomorrow is a new day. And tomorrow you can make the choices to get back on the path you want to be on. You can do it!!! I believe in you!!!!
  • According to map my fitness I burn about 500 when I do my 35 min run.
  • I run on a treadmill and occassionally outside. My last solid treadmill run was at 4.7 mph half and 4.8 mph half (so I go at a reasonably slow pace). When I run outside I use a pace coach on mapmy fitness to tell me to speed up or slow down every min so I don't over do myself and stay at a steady pace. I don't always eat…

  • I live in Ohio and I never run on fresh snow. If there is still some snow on the ground a few days later I will run on it, but be very careful when I do so. Majority of this winter I have been using the treadmill at the gym and plan to start running outdoors in spring. Good luck!
  • Thanks everyone!!!! I really enjoyed that willpower quote!!! Willpower is a muscle, the more you flex it the powerful it will become. I've got the willpower in an average day, just those darn social settings. The food just sits there and I need to break the habit of constantly munching while I talk. Thank you for the…
