I get sore wrists from yoga. I just finally went to physio to try to sort out the issue (it's been going on for years), and I was told that the range of my arm rotation results in my wrist having to support more weight than it should. I'm not saying this is your issue - more just recommending you should be assessed by a…

Awesome - good luck with your own challenge! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a stair machine. Will have to look it up :)

i'm around the same height/starting weight. I've been at it for 2 months and have lost an average of 1lb/week. it IS possible. but you really do have to weigh your food. like the people above have noted, you're probably eating way more than you realize. and you said you make "most" of your meals at home. if you're eating…

I usually eat most back (even knowing that the estimated calories burned are probably exaggerated), otherwise I feel starving! Really depends on the day though. I've still been able to lose about 1lb per week on average. Some weeks I don't lose anything, and then the next I'm 3 lbs down. Keep it up! You've already done so…

GREAT JOB!!!

Good luck!!

good job! you look great!!

I think it's ok to give in to cravings sometimes (I had 9 chocolate kisses yesterday!) as long as you are eating healthy otherwise. It's good to enjoy a nice treat once in a while! And after 3-4 weeks, it has likely become a habit, so just keep at it!

Wow great job! I hope I look like that after 5 months too!!!

Wow, good job!!!

How do you survive without eating back your calories? I feel so hungry all the time from exercising. Most days I don't eat them ALL back, but I always eat at least some of them back. I guess your body has adjusted over time?

Yes I weigh all my food, so I'm being as accurate as possible. What I did is I calculated the weekly average from 5 weeks ago and compared it to my current weight. I know it's not an exact science, but I was hoping that little ticker would be somewhat on target. Oh well! Thanks for your comments everyone.

loads of beer, wine, whatever, and eating out! and an embarrassing amount of chocolate.

rice cake with pb and banana or dried cranberries, dried fruit, nuts and seeds, hard boiled egg, berries

AMAZING!!! you look great, and happy :)

Depending on your frame - nope! As long as you're eating healthy, and living a healthy lifestyle, I don't see the problem. I'm 5'2.5" and am aiming for 115ish (if it looks ok on my frame).

Definitely works for stress relief! While you're in the class, the instructors make you focus on just being there, and eventually you figure out how to actually block everything else out. It feels great to just be there, and to be doing something for YOU. You don't have to be great at it either...everyone is different. No…

I felt healthier after 1 week, and saw results after 3. Be patient! I didn't lose anything for the first couple of weeks, but now I'm down 7 lbs after about 6 weeks of exercising daily and eating healthy.
-
yep that'll work! i don't think you'll see very fast results, but it's always good to keep moving! i walk eeeverywhere, and it definitely helps to keep off the pounds. i hope you'll be able to find some sort of exercise you enjoy! bike rides can be fun :)

I have a spreadsheet for pretty much everything in my life, so I totally understand. If it's fun, keep at it! If you feel weird about it, or are thinking that you might be starting to be a bit obsessive, take a step back. You know what's best for you!
-
I agree!

You've lost so much already (good job!), so you know that it doesn't happen overnight. It's normal for your weight to fluctuate. Don't be discouraged! It's a lifestyle change, right? So you can expect some ups and downs. We all have them :)
