  • My biggest annoyance is when people sit on a machine and take selfies for 10 mins. Or all of the tredmills are full and there are people with a speed of .1 just chitchatting. I get it, you pay for your membership just like I do, but I don't want to wait 10-15 mins for a machine so you can look like a fitness enthusiast on…
  • 2 lbs is nothing in terms of it coming back on the scale. That could be from needing to use the bathroom, how long ago you ate, and if you're post workout with all of the lactic acid built up. Look for those non-scale victories. Mine didn't move for almost a month!! But I noticed a lot of my clothes feeling looser and a…
  • She put the riceoroni in the q's, so now I have rice in my milk instead of quik mix
  • She stole my dresser, so I had nowhere to put my clothes.
  • My work schedule is weird and I end up eating late. To keep myself from binging on everything in sight, I drink a cup of tea. Maybe even two. Splash of milk and some splenda and I'm good to go. My tummy is full and warm. :)
  • I was diagnosed celiac late 2012/early 2013 My biggest suggestion is find what's called "Shiritaki noodles". They're typically in the same section as tofu and wildly available at Asian markets. Gluten free yam root noodles with a ton of iron and other good things for you. Best part is a single serving is only 15 calories.…
  • I use the Herbalife protein shakes which have a good amount of protein in them. My problem is if I eat "real food" I tend to over eat or not eat healthy thing due to lack of planning. I am learning about cooking healthy meal (So if anyone has any tips or sites they use for healthy cooking please share) I am totally a…
  • Agreed. Kill one of the shakes and eat a real meal. You don't need two unless you're killing it like beast with 800+ calorie burn workouts.
  • I'm gluten free due to a medical diagnosis (celiac). I actually roll my eyes at the people who rant and rave about gluten free diets. A sugary gluten free cupcake is no healthier than a sugary regular cupcake. And honestly, a lot of the gluten free prepackaged stuff is a shhhhht storm of chemicals. People who follow fads…
  • According the the pie chart fat> protien> carbs I find it hard to eat a lot of carbs because I can't eat gluten (bread, pasta, etc) due to a medical condition. I've managed to start feeling more full, I think the major problem was my new schedule. I wasn't having a real lunch. So I've substituted more snacks throughout the…
  • Pack a lot of snacks and prelog them for the day. This way you know what you can munch on when everyone else is having doughnuts. My manager likes to throw candy at us, and it's really easy to pull something out of my bag when I have the munchies instead of eating candy
  • The corn skin/kernel shell is an insoluble fiber. Even if you chew it very well, chances are the skin stays in tact. I looked this up recently, and even if you chew and chew and chew your corn, the reason it comes out looking like whole kernels is because poo makes its way into the kernel skin and it looks like a whole…
  • And sugar is addicting. Just like quitting gluten or smoking, the body will crave it. I don't think she's looking for an excuse, she's looking for help.
  • Gold peak makes one that is made with splenda, honestly, I can't tell the difference in terms of taste. My favorite is by Red Diamond. Black sweet tea with splenda, and it by far tastes the best. For only $2/gal, I'd say give it a try. It's sooooooo tasy.
  • Welcome to the celiac club. Diagnosed late 2012/early 2013. Just curious if you lost or gained weight before being diagnosed. Apparently it's a lot more common to lose weight, lol but I'm that lucky few that blew up like a balloon. My #1 for restaurants: AVOID RICE Rice is typically gluten free, but they add things to…
  • Are you getting enough water? Also, how is your sodium intake? Too little or too much can cause issues. I know I bloat like crazy and feel horrible from just one day of not getting enough water.
  • I was diagnosed Celiac late 2012 early 2013. It's been really hard finding the right things to eat because a lot of gluten free products are a *kitten* storm of chemicals. Hummus is one of my go tos. They also sell fresh carrot "chips" (carrots cut into the round circles) that are a must. I've learned to replace pancakes…
  • Try black tea with a little bit of milk/almond milk. I drank it for a week every time I wanted a soda. Changed my taste buds and I can't stand soda now. I never was a big tea drinker until the black tea. if you can't do the tea thing, try crystal lite.
