My original goal was 150 (from 178). I achieved that within just a few months and knew quickly it wasn't going to cut it so I set my next goal to 130. I'm now at 128 and have been for about 2 years. I wouldn't mind getting down to 122-125 but I'm in no hurry. I should focus on adding in some lifting but it intimidates me…

I think you need more data/time to determine if you are actually gaining. I've been on maintenance for about 2 years now and my maintenance is more of a range than a specific number. I tend to vary between 126 and 131#. When I hit the 129/130 I do cut back slightly but generally just a day or two. Here is my weight graph…

I weight once a day a day and do record it. I record it because I like having the data. That way when my weight jumps up (usually a couple spikes a month related to hormones, etc) I can look back at the data and reassure myself it's a similar pattern as I'd experienced the month before.

For me it was early a picture. I'd known for awhile that once my youngest stopped nursing I needed to get my act together but then a picture from Nov 2014 really convinced me. I was heavier than I had ever been- about 176lbs. I decided Jan 1 would be the day. I lost 55ish lbs between Jan 1, 2015 and May 2015. I have…

I have been in maintenance for 1.5 years (after losing 50+ lbs over 6 months). I don't find maintenance that hard. It's definitely not as rewarding but have found a good balance on intake and activity level. I still splurge now and then. I keep my weight to a 3-5lb range.

Maybe wait a few days to weigh? I'm always much higher than usual the Amy after I return from a vacation but overall I generally even out within a week. I think a lot of it tends to be water weight from the change in my routine/eating/activity level.

One more question- do you have negative calorie adjustments on?
-
Thank you so much! I have only had the watch for 1 week so it could just still be learning me. I am going to give it a couple weeks and see what happens and just adjust my calorie goals as needed. I am glad to hear you have found it so accurate.

I'm jumping in on this post because I want to make sure I'm getting this right- thank you for what you wrote- I think I'm getting it. I had used a Fitbit charge HR for 2 years and have maintained well on that. I am in maintenance and have my calories set to 1500 in MFP (some days I'm over some days I'm under, regardless I…

Jan 2015 I was 175 and over about 6 months lost 48lbs. I've maintained between 125 and 127 since then. I just used mfp and my Fitbit.

Incredible job! You got this :).

We had a number of big meals (with more to come) between all of our families. My plan was to. It stress about food but to continue to log and try to stay active. Luckily the weather cooperates and I got out for long walks or to the gym most days. My eating was not great- food at my grandma's house was just so tasty. We…

I have the charge hr- I've had it since April and love it. It's not 100% accurate on steps but does accurately estimate calorie burn (have been able to lose from April-sept and maintain since sept using its calorie burn estimates) and it gets me moving. When it is evening and I see I have less steps than usual, I can…

I started at 175 (in January) with a goal weight of 150 (5'5"). I'm now 128 and will likely maintain here for awhile. I wouldn't mind getting to 120 but I'm in no hurry.

Sept was a rough month for me due to the sudden loss of my grandma. We were out of town a lot and had to eat out a lot and I didn't have access to the gym. I chose go still track (which probably helped me not go too crazy) buy it stress about what I ate. I averaged about 2000 a day with many days at closer to 3000. I…

Where is everyone measuring their thighs? At the biggest part (up high)?

I just got back from 11 days of vacation. I set my calories to maintenance and averaged about 300 calories above that with a couple really poor days (3000 calories- darn alcohol). I did my best to keep active all day long. I actually came back down 2lbs- so try not to stress! Enjoy! And even if you gain a lb or 2 you can…

We rarely vacation but are just ending a 11 day one- I tracked but I ate what I wanted. I switch MFP to maintenance and I went in to it being ok with a 1lb gain. So far I've actually maintained despite eating more than what MFP calculated for maintenance. I had two really, really poor choice days (1 a wedding and 2 a day…

Way to generalize. I've actually never assumed that about someone who wore a Fitbit. As someone else said- it's a fun toy/tool. More mindfulness toward health and avoiding a sedentary lifestyle is something I would personally love to see more people accomplish.

Amazing difference!! You are doing great and are so beautiful.

I have 3 kids- ages 7, 5 and 2. Pre-baby I was 130. After my 3rd I maintained at 175 for 2 years. Starting in jan i started focusing on losing some weight. I am down to 135. I have kept my calories to 1300-1700 and do 1 hour of cardio 3-6 times a week. 175 Today at 135 trying on a dress for a wedding

I use the Fitbit charge hr and its estimates are slightly less than the machine- but it did give me 426 calories for 1 hour (average 5.5mph; average heart rate 140). I go by my Fitbit and it does seem to be accurate- I base that on that I am losing what I would expect to or more given my net calories over the course of the…

I don't log medicine, calorie free/diet drinks, spices, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, coffee (I do log the cream)... I've lost nearly 40lbs and an am a perfectly healthy weight (5'5" and 138)- so I don't see the need to be that thorough if what I'm doing is working.

I don't know that I think anything. I was overweight from the time my 2nd son was born (2009) until this year. I had a lot going on and my weight was just not a priority. I was in school full-time, working 30ish hours a week, raising two children, one of which has special needs. My 3rd child was born in 2013 and he was…

By weighing every day I can capture how fluctuations are quite normal. I don't get upset about them. I also can see trends- I am able to see more clearly how much I tend to fluctuate during various phases of my cycle or after a high sodium meal. This is my progress chart for the last 3 months- the trend is what is…

I weigh every morning. I like the data- it helps me see if gains are likely just normal fluctuations or if I need to readjust something.

That's great :). It took me closer to 5 months- loss really slowed down the last month or so. It feels great, though, doesn't it?? You look great :)
