Thanks for all the comments! I know yoga won't burn much, that's why I want to run as well. The yoga I wanted to try more for releasing stress and improving my flexibility; I have back trouble sometimes and stiff knees. Would that prevent me from doing it? After some of the comments I think I'll look for a specialist yoga…

There is a yoga class at my gym, I just worry about not being able to keep up and feeling foolish :( It's daunting. I found a routine for beginners on Pinterest, only about 5 basic poses, and tried them with my iPad on a chair in front of me, that seemed easy enough.

Yeah, I have the Couch to 5K app, which I've had for a long while actually, but haven't plucked up the courage to get going. My local gym does a yoga class that says its for any level, but I figured I could start off at home, too.

I'm going to do both XD I just wondered which would be best/easier to start first for someone not in great shape, as I've never done either. Or do you mean start both at the same time?

I'm starting an intermittent diet so low calorie soups will be great for my fasting days, gonna give some of these a go, thanks!

Will do! Yeah me too, I do a lot of just sitting around as I don't work either. I'll be out and about a bit more when my voluntary work picks up again. I have a bike but it's been too cold/windy lately to go out on it

Hmm seems to have cut the end of my post! Anyway, I'm looking for fellow lazy dieters who maybe aren't fanatic about smashing the gym but more into the gentler but effective exercises like yoga, cycling and swimming to boost the motivation!
