My first thought when reading this post as well. Please, OP, talk to someone about your feelings. You really shouldn't be stressing this much over food.

I hate cooking but I try to do as much as possible at home (or force my BF to cook). Firstly, it's easier to track what I'm consuming and secondly - it's much gentler on the wallet.

From my personal experience - I grew up eating junk most of the time. I was a really fussy eater and my family never bothered with trying to get me to eat "normal" things (I only tasted cottage cheese for the first time this summer, and I'm 25!). My diet mostly consisted of chips and chocolate and soft drinks of course,…

Do you prepare the horses yourself or do you have a groom do that for you? If the latter then there's a quick workout right there - groom and saddle up the horses, muck out their stables and take water and hay bales to them. Plus do 10 squats and lunges before and after mounting. I'm sure there are plenty of sturdy bars or…

Should I go through with it? Will I get anywhere with this? Is there any point? What's for dinner?

That might not actually be a bad idea because I just checked and one serving of my favourite instant noodles is 280 calories. Somehow I had always thought that instant noodles were the devil incarnate but I suppose a bowl of those would beat a meal at a fast-food join (1000 cals +). Thanks for the idea!

Maybe I should just build my own, imagine the money I'd make  The Fitbits seem like a no-go as they are not waterproof. So far I've looked at the Jawbone Up24 and UP 3, which seem like good bets. I'm not sure whether the Polar Loop is compatible with my phone, although it too seems like a good choice. The Garmin…

Vegetables have never made a difference for me. I mean, I could eat a HUGE bowl of fresh salad and still feel incredibly hungry. Adding lots of protein (thanks to the advice I have read on this forum) has helped a lot. And I sometimes get those moments when I'm just SO hungry that it takes a while for my body to "catch up"…

How on earth do you prepare chicken and veggies in less than 10 minutes? I must be doing something very wrong because I can never fix up a meal in less than 30-40 minutes. And 30 minutes feels like an eternity when I'm very hungry.

Thanks for the advice! I've been reading up on activity trackers and I think what I truly want is something with GPS that is also waterproof so that I could track my swimming. But it seems to me that's not possible (unless I get a smart watch or a fitness watch, but they are too bulky for my liking)? Currently I track my…

How about if you do the laundry by hand? We don't have a washing machine at the moment so I ether drive to my mum's every weekend with at least 3 bags full of dirty clothes, or if I need something urgently I wash it by hand. It is incredible how tiring that is,, even if it is only a few shirts or a pair of jeans.…

So stop aiming for perfection  Start with small, manageable changes and build from there.

Not eating after 6pm. I have never understood how that makes sense, I mean, if I go to bed at around midnight, I would have to be without food for nearly 6 hours - how is that healthy? And yet there are so many people who are convinced that eating after 6 is the only reason anyone ever gains weight. Bizarre theory.

Peeling an orange takes like, 20 seconds? We're not talking about a pineapple or a pomegranate here :P

I used to hate both cottage cheese and tuna (and other fish), but after finding out I'm not getting nearly enough protein, I have begun trying to adapt myself to them slowly and so far so good. Have you tried "easing yourself into it" - a side of salad here and there, a couple of cucumbers or a carrot occasionally? Fruit…

I am from a Baltic country as well

I like grapefruit in the morning, or a banana, although I prefer the latter as an afternoon snack (I read somewhere it helps you sleep better).

If they don't want to eat what you have cooked, surely they can make something for themselves?

He's a 13-year-old boy, what do you expect from him? Of course he is going to eat everything in sight, that's what teenage boys do (and they insult you as well, while eating your food). Just hide it better or tell your parents to buy more of everything, or get your own place where you don't have to worry about other people…

Hi, if anyone wants to add me, I'd be very glad

I've had that problem. I don't recall the specific brand but I remember that every time I took it, I would feel very nauseous and dizzy shortly afterwards. I even asked a doctor about it and she explained it with the fact that the vitamin has a high content of x (again, don't remember), which could cause nausea. Taking it…

I have a Polar RS300X. The chest strap goes crazy sometimes but that has so far always been fixed with a thorough cleaning. I used to have an older Suunto model, but the strap eventually broke and I find the soft strap much more comfortable. The monitor measures heart rate, calorie burn, laps, has an interval timer etc,…

Lunges, my knees always scream "hell no" after only a few. For some odd reason, I can do squats just fine, although they seem just as hard on the knees. Go figure.

I quit smoking about 7 years ago I quit smoking about 7 years ago and I didn't gain anything. In fact, after quitting I began losing weight and ended up at my lowest ever number - although that was not caused by not smoking, rather due to increasing my exercise and eating differently. So I don't believe quitting per se is…

"It's up to you" / "Do whatever you want" My BF is convinced it's a trap whenever I utter one of those phrases (or something similar).

Well done, that is great progress! I am about half-way through my first month of Insanity but I've been ill for several days so I'm a bit behind schedule. However, I've already lost 3 inches off my waist, which is pretty great! I can't wait to start working out again, I love the Insanity workouts.

I've been overeating the entire weekend because I'm ill so I just can't be bothered with weighing stuff and cooking (getting out of the bed at all is an accomplishment) so I'm snacking on whatever is currently in reach. But I'm not too worried because as soon as I'm well, I can get back on track. One day (or a few days)…
