I don’t get manicures often, but I have noticed that when I do, they don’t last as long now, because when I am eating healthier, my nails grow much faster! They get longer too, because they are stronger.

I forgot to post this yesterday. I actually did two runs, this one and one with my son. He asked me to do Week 2/Day 3 with him. My legs were so tired and achy at bedtime!

The first 15 felt horrible. The second 15 felt good. The last 15 I actually increased my speed.

Last time I felt like quitting the whole time, but this time I felt good the whole time. I ran faster and longer too. I really doubted whether I should stick with the program last time, thinking maybe I should stick with 5K and not bother with 10, but today gives me hope that I can go all the way. :)

My reward for hitting goal with be to stop obsessing over the sodium content in every single bite of food. This process has really opened my eyes to how much sodium I consumed on a regular basis. I felt like I wasn’t going to make it the entire time, but I did. I think the diet is what’s killing me. My sister is coming for a visit next week and I will be eating more calories for those days, I’m sure. I’ll see how those runs feel.

Today was supposed to be the day that I hit 5K. I’ve been running a bit slower to be nice to a sore knee, so I only managed 2.3 miles. But I did run for 35 minutes straight, so I’ll take it!

Hit the 30 minute mark! The distance was only 2 miles, but I’m less worried about distance, and more motivated by stamina -which is definitely increasing.
