  • Ticker all set up, ankle resting nicely, roll on Monday
  • Hello, a nebwie here, I'm still very much a beginner, I have completed C25k and try and do about 6 miles a week. I bought new trainers last week and have been having ankle trouble ever since, I think its just my feet adjusting to some properly fitting trainers at last. I have rested it most of this week and did 1.5 miles…
  • I hadn't noticed the salads on there :| Think I'll go for a salad with grilled chicken (not keen on halloumi), and then I may have the sticky toffee pudding as I dont remember the last time I had a pudding :)

  • Following my first ever 5k last weekend (37:58 on the treadmill) I decided to try it on the road today, I don't have a timer with me when I'm running but started the stopwatch on my phone as I left home. I thought I was going at about the right pace although I did have three short walking bits (about 15-20 seconds each)…
  • I did 5k!!! I started the programme midFeb I couldn't even run for one minute without stopping and now I have done 5K!! Well, I say run, I jogged it, and not a fast jog, but I don't care, I set myself a goal and I have hit it  I did it in 37:58, I'm soooo chuffed with the time, I don't care that its not that fast,…
  • I finally jogged 5k without stopping! I started C25K in mid-February so am well chuffed to have managed it (I couldn't jog for one minute without needing to stop then). I'm not the fastest (37:58) but am just so so happy! Oh, and two people at work commented on my weightloss today (first people to notice except for my…
  • Mines a work in progress ... SW 175lbs CW 157lbs
  • I'd love to come back with a clever comment but never manage to think of one, especially when hit with such an ignorant insult as that. BUT .... use it to your advantage, as others have said it indicates her insecurities, so next time you're at the gym and dont want to keep going on the treadmill or are wanting to quit a…
  • Fantastic, you can see a huge difference in your pictures, well done :)
  • Start weight: 175lbs Current weight: 157lbs Started on January 20th this year, about another 10lbs to go for original goal, then I'll re-assess and set a new goal :)
  • Great job, a clear difference in the photos!! Its really refreshing to see someone who uses machines as the general theme on here seems to suggest free weights are the only way to go, you've just kept me motivated to keep using the machines, thank you
  • I'm not using any apps, I did it on the treadmill at the gym, I just set the speed and then try not to keep looking at the timer as it seems to drag! I find the first three minutes quite tough and then it gets easier. I am going to try and increase it by one minute each time now :)
  • And today I have managed 15 minutes and done a whole mile  Ridiculously slowly but I don't care, I'm chuffed to bits
  • Thank you both for the replies  CW106 I think you're right, I have just readjusted my target and if I go to "Lose 0.5lbs a week" mfp gives me 1520 cals a day. My target weight is 147lbs although I may readjust when I get there. I think what I'll do is carry on as I am until I hit 161lbs (1stone lost in total) then…
  • That was me ten days ago ... today I jogged 9 minutes on the treadmill SO PROUD!! :)
  • I have WW scales too and interestingly, my weightloss has been going down in 2lb chunks ... grr, how pointless are scales that do that? I weigh myself each morning and had a 2lb drop about 3 days ago so don't expect to see any changes for another week or so, tomorrow I will do as you say and lift something heavy while I'm…
  • I don't feel like dancing - Scissor Sisters, Fighter - Christina Aguelira, I just want you to dance with me tonight - Olly Murs Cheesy pop all the way for me
  • I saw the thread title and came on here to say exactly the same as you! I joined the gym three weeks ago and today was doing my normal ten minutes on the treadmill and decided to try for a one minute jog. It was easier than I thought and I managed to do two minutes. It absolutely made my day
