I found it took nearly a month to lose anything. I'm starting to lose slowly - although went to a wedding last weekend and indulged! Make sure you eat close to you TDEE- sometimes it can seem a lot but when I started doing this the whole way of eating made sense any my body responded. Good luck

Thanks everyone. Finding things are starting to steady out and not quite as big weight loss after a fast but the weight goes down a day or two after fast days, like you Janet.

Are you eating close or to your TDEE on non fast days? I'm finding when I uped this I felt much more full.

So Flumi do you mean that overweight people tend to eat 10-20% lower than they should and should eat their TDEE or that they need to eat this percentage lower? Sorry for my confusion. I think what I'll do is log workouts and maybe eat back some of the high calorie ones - if I'm hungry. Thanks for all the helps guys.

Ok thanks so much everyone - I have read so much conflicting info! I will up my calories on non-fast closer to my TDEE. i haven't lost weight so am thinking my body storing.

Do people find they lose more eating maintenance weight on non-fast days? My TDEE is 2290 but I have set MFP to 1290. Should I eat more to lose more?

I would like to know the answer to this too. I have set MFP to lose 2lbs a week - although not fully stuck to it this week with valentines and dinner with friends. My TDEE is 1900 odd but that feels like loads. Not sure what do do. Can anyone let me know what they eat on non fast days?

Found this really interesting and a very valid point. I'm thinking about maybe doing 1 fast day a week and having a smaller deficit throughout the week so I'm not hungry. Also hoping the fast day will help cravings and get in check with what is hunger or boredom eating. Thanks everyone for your comments.

Ok thanks guys. I did try this diet once but gave up as found it hard. I am very interested in the health benefits too. I am going to go for it. I also find I drink far too much caffeine so would hopefully be a bit of a detox from that. What I meant by maintain was once went onto eating 7 days a week did the weight go up?…
