Here's a good former thread on that: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10646264/cinnamon tl;dr - doesn't seem like a good idea.

Energetic dogs (I'm looking at you, 2yo Springer Spaniel) ESPECIALLY need daily walks, if not more. Hire someone if you have to, but going for walks is great exercise for you, too!

Great job on your loss! You've been doing this for a long time (I assume), so you know that water weight fluctuates, and "real" weight take a while to come and go, so there's no need to panic. Try adding 100 calories a day to your budget, and see how that goes for a few weeks. Or switch your MFP settings to "maintain" and…

Since you're a vegetarian you have to eat carbs, and there's nothing wrong with carbs anyway. It's the calories that determine your weight gain or loss. Track everything accurately (use a food scale, weigh in grams, find an accurate database entry), stay in your calorie goal, and enjoy your carbs!

Hi and welcome! Counting calories really works, and MFP is a great tool to help with that. You need a plan, and the determination to stick to it. Read the stickied posts on the "Getting Started" page, especially the one about "sexypants," it's really helpful! My suggestions: Enter your stats in MFP and get your daily…

Hello! Once you've determined to do this, you need a plan. Enter your stats in MFP and get your daily calorie recommendation. Buy a food scale. Weigh all of your food in grams (use cups for liquids) and log it as accurately as possible. Yes, this is a drag, but it's necessary for most people. You don't even have to make…

I didn't get a message, and yeah, why so mysterious?

Welcome back! What do you consider your "body type" and what are your goals?

I can't go to bed hungry. It makes me angry and resentful. So I save about 150 calories for an evening (8-9pm) snack. It's also good incentive for me to log, it lets me know how many calories I have left for my evening snack. If anyone says to stop eating at 6pm to lose weight, it's just not true. Great thread!

Hi Jenny! Welcome, it sounds like you're off to a good start! Make sure you read the "Getting started" posts, they can save you a lot of frustration. Especially this one: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1

Hello! As the others have said, you'll have to see what works for you. I like spring mix salad and riced cauliflower as low-calorie ways to bulk up my meals. Sending a friend request!

Isn't the point of fitness goals to make you more healthy? Then if reaching the goal actually causes you harm, that defeats the purpose, right?

Fake cheesecake - nonfat greek yogurt, a smashed graham cracker, and fruit and/or chocolate sauce.

Ugh, that sucks. All of it. FWIW, I take my synthroid as soon as I get up (it's next to the alarm button) and by the time I'm in the kitchen and have breakfast ready, it's been an hour or pretty close to it. I've also been told that 30 minutes is long enough to wait before eating.…

Yeah, my desktop version does that from time to time, and it's been stuck for a couple of days now. Your dog is gorgeous, btw!

Go with an open mind. You can look to your classmates for how to do poses, but don't worry if you aren't as strong or flexible, everyone's different and coming from a different place. Yoga is about not judging one another's abilities, showing up is enough. Instructors can be very different, if you don't like the one you…

Great job, Jackie! I'm almost to my 50 pound goal, and I'm going to need a new goal for my phase 2. I think it'll be a "stick to my strength training schedule" kind of goal. And maintenance calories, of course!

Here you go!

Closer to half and half of yogurt and peaches, or more yogurt than peach. You probably don't have to blend it at all. If you're just trying to make peach-tasting yogurt, chop up a peach and add it to your yogurt.

Hello! The great thing about counting calories to lose weight is that you can eat what you like. Just log what you eat (weight it with a food scale), stay in your calorie range, and you'll lose weight. You don't have to exercise (I lost my first 25 pounds with no extra exercise), but maybe go for a walk when you're feeling…
-
Wow, yeah, that's way too much solid peach for the small amount of yogurt. If you let the peaches thaw a bit, or entirely, it should blend. Was that really the amounts they told you? That would be mostly peaches with a tiny bit of yogurt.

Can I ask why you want to do this? It sounds like a horrible 2 months to me. That isn't a balanced diet, and it isn't necessary (or recommended) to be that restrictive to lose weight. All you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit.
-
I track as I go, to allow myself to eat what I want with some flexibility during the day. I have a general idea of how many calories I can have for each meal/snack, and how many I'll have eaten by end of the workday. Tracking makes it more specific and basically lets me know how big of an evening snack I can have.…

Eat what you like, keeps you full, and fits your lifestyle. If you're within your calorie goal you'll lose weight. Here's a simple example of why you can't really follow someone else's plan: A friend of mine asked me if she can just eat what I eat and lose weight. I make a smoothie every morning, but she has kids and can't…

I have to wonder, what do you assume he's thinking when he looks at you? Are YOU judging HIM? Maybe it's nothing negative, maybe you remind him of someone, maybe he likes your haircut. I found I was much happier when I stopped assuming people were having negative thoughts about me. Most people are too wrapped up in their…

You started a thread just like this a week ago, did you not like the suggestions there? Maybe you just don't like smoothies and should try other ways to eat vegetables if you think you should eat more vegetables. Smoothies pretty much ARE "base + liquid," so if that doesn't work for you, smoothies are probably out.

This is my usual breakfast shake, although I change up the frozen fruit quite a bit. Lots of protein and carbs.

Not sure what you mean, where would you want to add it if not to your diary?

Spinach is the easiest and most-tasteless veggie to add to smoothies, I think. I use 110g nonfat plain greek yogurt, 150g frozen fruit (bananas, peaches, etc) 4oz water, and some protein powder. Then you can throw in a handful of spinach, or more as you get used to it. It doesn't change the texture or taste very much, but…
