Wine doesn't interfere with fat burning. If you log it and still stay within your calories, you'll be fine. For me, alcohol interferes with my judgment and I tend to eat too much.

Every day for 1256 days. Even when it's a "best guess" and when I know it's way over my usual goal.

Totally normal. Water weight, hormones, food in your system all fluctuate. Look at the trend over weeks.

I needed a new job because my company was moving out of state, then I saw my reflection as I passed a window and barely recognized myself. My outside didn't match my inside, and in interviews I wanted to give the right first impression. I wanted to be ready for whatever came next.

MFP doesn't "punish" you for sweets as much as WW does, from my understanding. It's just calories, not points, and a calorie deficit is what leads to weight loss. Log EVERYTHING and stick to your calorie goal, and you'll learn that an extra square of chocolate now means fewer calories later in the day. Also... Make sure…

Hello and welcome! What are your stats and goals (height and weight)? Who said you have too much fat in your liver? Sounds odd. This is a good place to start for general advice: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1

I have some questions. :) What are your stats? (current weight, goals, how much are you trying to lose per week?) If your goal is too aggressive you could be setting yourself up for overeating. What do you mean by a "prepared food plan?" Whatever it is, it sounds like it's not satisfying to you. Eat what you like, keeps…

The Four Agreements helped me learn to deal with this. Do your best, and don't take it personally. Since I don't think anyone has asked this yet, are you a nice person? Considerate, don't say and do things to hurt others? If you're a mean jerk (and I'm not saying you are), maybe stop being a mean jerk. :)

A calorie deficit is what leads to weight loss. It doesn't matter when you eat those calories. Do you weigh your food in grams and log it accurately? And here's a very popular flow chart that covers a lot of common issues.

At your stats weight loss will be slow and your margin for error is very small.. To repeat a couple of Kimny's questions, Do you use a food scale? Do you double check the numbers in the database entries you are choosing? You may be eating more calories than you think. It's a very common problem that's very easy to fix…

Hello! This is really common. My only surprise is that you haven't noticed it before as you've lost weight. :) If you search the community boards for "weight fluctuations" you'll find endless conversation. A weight fluctuation doesn't mean you're doing something wrong, it's just how the body works.

@Granny07 mine's having trouble too. It happens sometimes. Looks like they know about it and are working on it. https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038194151-News-Feed-not-loading-on-all-platforms

A lot of people on here have Hashimoto's, I do, and we've lost weight just fine as long as it's properly medicated. If you search the community posts for Hashimoto's you'll find a lot of conversation.

Flow chart!

I used the free Zen Labs one in 2017 and 2018. They totally work, don't try to jump ahead. I still hate running, but now at least I can say I really tried!

They have a lot of fiber, so if you have too many too quickly, it can cause that problem. If you start small and increase gradually, they should improve regularity.

Hi! I did not find a personal trainer helpful. This thread has a lot of info about intro-level lifting you can do at home on your own schedule, for cheap: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1 Good luck!

Not me, I'm a grazer. All diets work by creating a calorie deficit, so if 2 meals a day helps you keep a calorie deficit, great!

There are lots of overnight oats recipes online that come out better than just plain oats and milk. You can add frozen fruit, yogurt, chia seeds, vanilla, all kinds of stuff. Give it a Google.

I too am a geek. Exercise really cuts into my World of Warcraft time, but I make it work. :) Feel free to add me!

I don't get it. The main ingredients are turkey, honey, water, and salt, so it's mostly "real" ingredients. 70 calories isn't bad for 28g of snack, especially one with this much protein. Heck, I think I might try these. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry - I meant to say "You *don't* have to remember how it starts," kind of an important word to miss! :)

You have to remember how it starts. The search will look for the letter combination anywhere in the name, so if you search for "cinn" it will find "cinnamon bread" and "apple cinnamon" (if you have those 2 things in your my foods list). If you haven't entered anything with "cinn" in it, it will tell you that, too.
