A proper diet and running/burning calories is the only way to get rid of the fat layer. Once that is gone and Your abs start showing up then work the hell out of them! Curls are for the girls but burning them triceps out are how to get bigger arms. Good luck summers getting close

I generally eat whatever I want for breakfast... Not just typical breakfast food. Heck I've even had sardines for breakfast

I never judge anyone at the gym... At least they are trying. I wouldn't feel bad about hogging the equipment ... You paid for a membership if they don't have enough machines for their members it's not your problem. Good luck!

Any further than 15 minutes and I would just workout at home. I mainly do body weight circuit workouts though. You can do that anywhere

I weigh 190 and go to the gym about 4-5 times a week. I'm losing a half lb a week at 2300 a day. I'll need around 2700 to maintain my weight

When your losing the body will feel a bit hungry, but don't starve your body. Running like that, personally I would think 1200 is too few for sure. Bump it up to 1500 but eat clean foods. I work out with former marines. They tend to really like the cross fit / circuit style work outs. The hard stuff. Maybe using a treadmill, a bench press, or squat racks are boring to your husband. Military.com has some really good workouts that he might enjoy
