The same here, but I drink 2% Fair Life milk. Not because it is lactose free, but because it has more protein and last longer in my fridge. Honestly, I only use it when I (seldom) make oatmeal for breakfast.

I love it, kudos to him!!! Peloton husband, despite the controversy, gifts real-life girlfriend a ... Peloton bike When life imitates art ... https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2019/12/26/peloton-husband-gives-girlfriend-exercise-bike-christmas/2750142001/

I ate nothing different or special during the Xmas holiday, since I was the one cooking. Just roasted chicken, a veggie casserole (I skipped the Hawaiian buns and the mashed potato), fruit salad, and a frozen yogurt-cream blueberry pie on Graham crust. But a couple glasses of wine on the 24th and the 25th were the…

@bold_rabbit Agree with you in that one! At 76 NOT getting up a couple of times during the night would be very dangerous for the sheets and mattress. However, the myth that drinking water before bed is a sure way to avoid strokes and/or heart attacks is totally wrong and misleading.
-
Where did you get that information? It's a a Myth that has been debunked a long time ago. I guess that you didn't get the memo. Drinking a glass of water before bed prevents heart attacks and strokes. The American Heart Association, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with other national health…

@NewLIFEstyle4ME Congratulations and well done!! Nice Christmas gift to yourself.

I am using chrome and I don't have a problem with other websites, only MFP. Whatever it is I hope that it gets resolved soon. Thanks.

I found your comment very appropriate and I disagree with the person that gave you a "disagree." We all need to be prepared for unwanted situations, and this one seems to be one of them. I understand that it may be more difficult for the newest members, but it is a good exercise to start using your own wits. MFP is a only…

As above.

I am retired, so no office goodies or parties to worry about. Keep up with my yoga classes and gym workouts. Kids and their families are not coming this year, so dinner on 12/24 with be light and plain (chicken, veggies, salad and mashed potatoes), with four family members. I am not a desert or chocolate lover and that…

Heck no, no way jose! Braless only while I sleep or in the shower. I don't run, but it bothers me a lot to be walking around without a bra. Very uncomfortable, feeling :'( , and as a 76 years old with a 32DD size not a pretty thing to go around without one, either.

I live in a gated community and garage sales are not allowed. Mostly because people in here don't want to buy each other stuff, and outsiders are not allowed unless you put their name in the list. I could sell a lot of stuff in a garage sale, things that I don't use or wear anymore and I could make few bucks too. I don't…

@NewLIFEstyle4ME and commenting on your 12/14/19 posting: Congratulations, great job! You are slimming surely and nicely, and the difference is outstanding! Keep the good work and lots of luck in the new year. <3

@laurenq1991 It just seems like most holidays in the US just turn into reasons to stress people out on their limited days off. They feel obligated to buy a bunch of stuff, spend hours cooking, spend time around relatives they may not even necessarily like, etc. It feels like it's about control more than anything else. And…

What about a hand held blender instead of a food processor? Would it work?

I do IE when I am on vacation and/or eating out, and also when I get fed up with the weighing and logging and I need to take a break. It has worked for me. In maintenance for over 9 years gave a good idea about portion control and what works for me or not. I am not an emotional or binge eater and I have never been obese or…

The soluble fiber content of chia seeds takes more time to travel through the intestinal tract, which helps add bulk to the stool, and sometimes causes constipation. Do you suffer from diverticulosis? Sometimes a lot of soluble fiber makes diverticulosis worses, and the seeds itself are not easy to digest by people with…

I do not go to the gym when I have a cold or any other upper respiratory bug, and I don't take fitness classes either. I don't want to spread my germs to the rest of the gang. If I am not too sick and the weather is OK, I may take a short walk and get some fresh air, and maybe do some calisthenics at home. But most of the…

You can also replace the heavy cream with lite coconut milk or with half and half.

Consistency and determination topped with a big desire of staying healthy while aging gracefully. All served with a nice portion of vanity and love of exercise and healthy food. The feeling of accomplishment and self empowering are my daily deserts. It also helps that I am not a foodie and very "particular" about food. ;)

Thanks Ann, but it will not work in my house; it was just a comment.

If I had room in my house I will ask for the Concept 2 Rowing Machine. Much better equipment that what we have in our fitness center. I'm a little bit envious of your wife :# , and hope that she is enjoying it.

I got a Dyson last Christmas and I loved it. But my husband knew that I needed and wanted a smaller and easy vacuum to work with floors and carpets. During many years I got cooking utensils, pots, serving dishes and what ever I need it. He never slept in the garage and I never rammed anything up his whatever. So you are…

Oh no please! Then people will be saying that it was a body shaming add, and how do they dare to put somebody that is not fit on a TV commercial.

Thank you for your post and kudos for your achievement. Beautiful pictures that allow me to enjoy the experience in a vicarious way. G. <3

This is the article that I read, I really don't understand the fuss about it. Yes, Peloton is expensive but so is the new smart TV (spying on you carries a price, I guess...), or the new phones and other gadgets. It is not my business how people wants to spend their money. I don't consider the add sexist at all either, but…

I agree with the above comments about Christmas. I wish I could be more of a "minimalist” around the holidays but there is a lot of push back from the family, since we still have younger/preteens grandchildren. However, in the last few years I have asked the older grandchildren and my own kids for their Christmas wish…

I enter a brief description of what I ate in the comments section of my diary but I don't log it. It is not worthy for me to spend time looking for something similar in the database, dissecting the meal, or estimating when I know that it will not be accurate. Beside, I don't want to have in my recent list entries that I…
