Be careful what you wish for. There are other problems with menopause and old age that sometimes we can't prevent or avoid. Enjoy your younger years even if the hormones are often hard to handle. Been there and done that myself.

@Machka9 For some of us TOM has gone to greener pastures :p and for me, 4 additional lbs would not allow my jeans to zip up.

One tip that usually works for me: if you still have few days before you start your vacation, eat at a deficit until you leave and maybe knock down a lb. or two, or increase your workouts so you burn more calories. Have fun with your daughter and consider the logging break as a teaching tool to see how much did you learn…

Two lbs in either direction.

I had a small hand full few years back but I am now flying solo and I like it. What I eat and how much I exercise are my doing and decision, and I don't want to be interacting all the time or reading what ever is posted on my wall; too much time spent on this website. I never send friend's request and I don't accept them…

I am done with dinner before watching TV and I eat desert about 1/2 hr later and that is it. I never associated watching TV with eating; I get busy watching my shows. I don't even get popcorn or drinks at the movie theater. OP brush your teeth after dinner and maybe drink some tea or chew gum.

@JoRocka If the OP goes to Disneyland or Disney World he probably has kids, so his brain will have to work overtime during those 5 days. He may go bonkers but not because he will not be able to lift... ;) OP, you will be fine and maybe came stronger after the break. Just do some push ups and body squats in the hotel room…

No, I don't use one and I don't consider them important to keep up with my fitness. I only have in my phone an app called "Map my walk," or something like that, only to know the distance that I cover during my walks. I don't like gadgets. Hey, I don't even wear a watch.

Black coffee and ice cubes have a lot of calories?

I like celery and carrots and cabbage soup (I make my own).

Click on Search and type "Blood Type Diet," and you will find a lot of information. However, fads diets are not well received in MFP so don't be surprised about the answers that you get. Eat less and move more to lose wt. your blood type has nothing to do with calories.

@ExoticKaotic Thank you for the clarification. I just finished lunch and I almost lost it after reading that combination :s

I don't care for muesli bars or trail mix and I can't eat popcorn (diverticulosis), but I make a lot of my own chili, stir frys, and I can eat salads everyday. Cottage cheese is a almost daily stapler in my house and my husband and I love and share brand muffins once in awhile. I really don't understand your question and…

What is Keto coffee? I drink coffee from Hawaiian beans that my husband grinds at home. Black and with Splenda; nothing else goes inside my coffee cup.

Point taken, but as Christine said "To be honest, and I'm speaking for myself only, not anyone else.. " I prefer, to keep my diary closed and not because I am embarrassed (in maintenance for over 6 years) but because what I eat is my business and nobody else. Since by choice I have no friends in MFP then I see no reason to…
-
And how would you know that the person was being honest just by looking at his/her diary? Just because they logged a particular food doesn't mean that they actually had it. Food diaries are very personal; some people may like to share it and others not, and we have no right, nor does MFP, to require or even suggest that…

I don't have any anger management issues but I do get annoyed when people makes assumptions just like @Reaverie did when she asked the OP if she was anorexic, and just like you did when you posted your comment. Over and out.
-
And what is wrong with 101lbs unless the person is very tall? You didn't know the height of the OP when you wrote the comment, so it is not fair to "imply" that 101lbs should worry her family or ask if she was anorexic. That is an unfair assumption. Later on the OP said that she was 5 feet 1 inches. I am barely 101 lbs and…

I lost half of my weight without MFP and the rest after a joined this website by using using generic entries sometimes, and without a scale; cups did fine. However, I like to disclose that I only had about 12 lbs total to lose so I don't know if my method will be good for somebody that has a lot of weigh to lose or a…

I never bother to weight the pot. It is too hot and too big to put in the scale and the scale will not hold it. I always get two laden full and what ever that is in grams = one serving. I then get my tupperware and fill up the containers with the same amount and label them appropriate ( 1 serving, XXX grams, and date). I…

Eggs and egg whites, lentils, quinoa garbanzo beans. Google high protein food to get a better idea and check food labels. Can you make your own soups and add diced chicken?

Quest bars really do a "number" on me (yes, pun intended). If my fiber intake is more than 25 for several days in a row, I get very bloated and ... :( . Quests bars are not an appropriate food for me due the high fiber content and because I don't like the taste either. Brand flakes on top of blueberries with cottage cheese…

You can do that at home Christine, but not when you are out and about.

Modify the nutritional information by correcting the servings to oz or grams. Easy to do and it will be very much appreciated to the users.

I am in California too and not all the restaurants have the nutritional information listed in their menus, so I agree with "almost" all of them. Mimi's Cafe used to but now you have to go to their website to find it. Also small and/or local restaurants may be exempt too. I think that the law also applies to restaurants…

Awesome, well done and thank you from me and my new "robotic" knee that doesn't allow me to even march too long around the track at the gym yet. <3

OP= Original Poster not Old Person :D

Exactly! I want a massage that relaxes my muscles and body not one that makes me hurt. I had only a couple of deep tissue massages and the "after" felt worse than the "before," so I am done with them. Ice, rest, and stretching do the trick for me. Edited for spelling

@winterbourne: My comment was an answer to the OP's question and not directed to you or anybody else, so you have no right to comment in such a way. If you took it the wrong way, well maybe you have a chip on your shoulder. If logging is what you like to do, go for it and congratulations on your success and discipline. I…
