Welcome to the internet, friend.

Cool story bro.
-
I watched a video on how they do it and immediately noped out - not that it was high on my list of good ideas in the first place.
-
Whoa, lighten up, friend. In all seriousness, I live by the rule that unless I had to put on a sports bra for it, I don't count it on the tracker (with the exception of a planned walk). Count this as a bonus, as others have said, and feel proud of it. :)

This. PLEASE be careful - I waited to start C25K until I was under 200 as I didn't want to cause knee/joint problems. Weight coming down on your knees and joints while running can be really hard on them.

A "real woman" is a woman who exists. Skinny-shaming and fat-shaming both suck and are detrimental to women in general. The end.

Have you thought about getting a HRM?
-
I lost one, but it was because I had the wrong shoes - bad size, small toe-box, etc. Learned a painful and ugly lesson.
-
I've had dogs run at me on my bike... the one that actually caught me turned out to be a very snuggly German Shepherd, but still. PLEASE, leash your pets, friends.

These two statements appear to be at odds with each other, no?
-
My absolute favorite is Lean Cuisine Mac and Cheese. It's amazeballs.

Feel free to add me! :)

Amazing! Fantastic job, lady! You're an inspiration.
-
Gotcha. I would either count it sparingly, or not at all (look at it as a bonus!). For myself, if I decide to actually go for a walk at work (20+) min., I'll count it. I also count the lonnnnng walk to and from the bus stop every morning, lol.
-
Do you take that walking into account for your daily activity level? If so, you should not double-count it.
-
Right there with you. Gotta keep chipping away at it. :) 55.2 and counting!
-
I do just have to get over it + accept that I can control getting healthier, but not when/if I'm gonna kick it. Thank you for your kind words + support - so helpful to know I'm not the only one.
-
You're totally right. I've been reading about Jim quite a bit, and trying to remind myself that running actually likely prolonged his life.
-
I think I definitely have to ask for the stress test. Otherwise I'm just going to keep being afraid of it.
-
Both, really. I'm lucky to see a therapist but I'm on a very long waiting list to see a NHS nutritionist/eating disorder specialist, and unfortunately going private would be too expensive. I'm trying to make some improvements in the meantime, though :) [/quote] Got it. Sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable about free resources…

Anxiety totally under control with help from my doctor. Just this one lingering fear left.
-
Hiking, off the beaten path.

I feel like this is definitely something you should consult a professional about. Do you not have access due to finances, or due to location?
-
It's really highly individual. Wait and be surprised by your success! :)

Etsy has a TON of unique race medal/bib holders.

... they seriously complain about you working out during daytime hours? Lame. What about yoga? Unless you fall over, it should be fairly noise-less, lol.
-
All other factors aside, you may see a temporary weight loss during a period of rest as when muscles are worked, they retain water.
-
I'm 5'9", and my goal is 157. When I was previously at my lowest (168ish), I wore a size 8, almost size 6 jeans. Size 6 is where I want to be. :)

Hello and welcome! Feel free to add me. :)
