  • When I tried to search for the group under that name, no results came up but I see that I'm a member. I'm confused. Sorry! I've used MFP since 2003 but this is the first time I've been on any of the forums.[/quote] Click on the star to hi-light it yellow then just look for that
  • Maybe a small snack like mini pretzels (100 calorie pack) or poppables? Portion them out and don’t take the bag. Cheese sticks also work. It’s just enough to take the edge off before bed.
  • Hello all, I’m 54 and restarting here for about my 10th time, I been at this for 12 days and have stayed on course. My goal is to keep tracking for the entire year. I always start good for a couple months and for lack of a better word, I got cocky and slowly get derailed. I’m going to be in it for the long run this time!
  • I think we’re all pretty good at bad dieting..lol. Progress is not only the number on a scale, it’s how you feel, clothes fit, sleep at night, how much more you can walk or exercise. Just have to keep plugging away!
  • Pinterest has an incredible amount of good easy recipes. Believe me, I’m a foodie but I’ve changed up what I eat and make. There are a lot of tasty easy recipes out there. As I’m retired, I do the cooking and now make things like chicken meatloaf, chicken Salisbury steaks and turkey skillet. I always make extras and…
  • After blowing out both knees 6 years ago in a 10 month span, I shot up to 380. Got down to 340 a couple years ago and slowly climbed to 367. Started tracking in here again and now down 17 in last 45 days. It’s a slow process. My best advice is to always keep a calorie deficit, doesn’t matter what you do but after tracking…
  • Meant to answer this yesterday but got sidetracked. I find that as long as I use my phone which syncs with my watch, it always syncs no problem. If I workout and then use my iPad to log meals, it won’t show until I use my phone to log into MFP for something. It took some trial and error to figure this out but never a…
  • MFP only syncs my workouts from Apple health.
  • I use an app called Auto Sleep with my Apple Watch, works great and seems to be spot on. I also use its sister app called Heart Watch which provides a good breakdown of your heart rate. I’ve also worn a polar HRM chest strap and it was basically the same as the HRM on Apple Watch.
  • Go to FITIV.com. The app is in beta, works like a charm. This app is replacing an app called MotiFIT., which I’ve used since last November when I got my Apple Watch. The developer sent me the beta, I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t in App Store yet.
  • Try using a different app on your Apple Watch. I use fitiv pulse. It’s free and costs around $10 for a year to use it fully. Gives much better detail and heart rate graph of your exercise. All exercise data syncs with Apple health and MFP..... also takes mfp info and uses in app.
  • Both of my knees are shot....Ice and elevate after your workout and maybe a couple times a day when they’re cranky. An over the counter anti inflammatory such as aleve will help also. I also use neoprene knee braces while working out, it offers support and warms the knees keeping them loose. Also stretch your calves,…

  • I use a schosche rhythm plus armband as a tracker for Boot Camp style classes. I sync the info to an app called fitiv, available in App Store if you have an iPhone. All the data syncs with Apple health which shares with MFP. Most brand name heart rate monitors will sync with MFP, and all have apps that are pretty basic to…
  • Question.... although I've been on mfp for years, I never really ventured into the community here. Is there a page or room or whatever that goes along with this group? Someplace to post questions or stuff like that. Just curious?
  • Hello... I've been at this weight loss/getting in shape journey for many years. I've been doing boot camp (HIIT) classes 4-5x a week for over two years now. I'm proof that you can't outwork a bad diet! I've put up my best fight but now admit defeat. So it back to tracking and making myself accountable. This has worked for…
