I use a schosche rhythm plus armband as a tracker for Boot Camp style classes. I sync the info to an app called fitiv, available in App Store if you have an iPhone. All the data syncs with Apple health which shares with MFP. Most brand name heart rate monitors will sync with MFP, and all have apps that are pretty basic to use. I’ve also used a Fitbit and a Microsoft band for tracking in the past.
I find it to be very useful to gauge my workouts. I find that if I don’t reach whatever my goal is for that day I can add some extra time on an exercise bike or rower or something to burn a few more calories.0
