No...I wish you could. I've suggested it a couple times. My husband and I are in the same situation. We just have whoever did the cooking make a recipe. We friended each other, so we just go their diary and copy their meal. But you can't see or log their recipes.

@thewindandthework - You had 36 people watching your back! I think that's great. You know, even if you'd have been dead last, that would be impressive to me. I can't even imagine a 5K yet. Congratulations!

I'm just tossing in my 2 cents here. There is also a woman I've worked with who is probably a size 0-2. She has had two kids and when she went home from the hospital, she went home in the same jeans she wore before pregnant. TINY WOMAN. Ate McDonalds, fries, ice cream, etc....all day long. I was envious.... Turns out she…

I literally just cut and pasted this into a document to keep forever. I can't believe this never occurred to me. I've told my 20-something son a thousand times about various things, "You do it because you have to, not because you want to." Yet I never applied it to weight loss before.

Don't you love finding errors that lead you to erase food off your diary? lol I went to a potluck dinner last night, cut a piece of cheesecake in half. Later realized I'd logged a whole piece. Gained back 150 calories and got me under my goal when I fixed it.

I'm losing and eating the calories given by Fitbit. I do usually eat under my total goal including the exercise, by a couple hundred, but I do that more for a buffer in case I have the calories on something too low or forget to log my coffee creamer, etc. Obviously on days it gives me a crazy amount like 900 to 1000 - I'm…

Yeah....I have a problem with that too. I always look for the green checkmark, showing it's "verified" by MFP, but I have even found some of those to have errors. In the end, we just all do our best.

I know. Head to toe, front to back, I know. I wish I could explain this, but I can't. I know this the way I know my mother loved me. Love is the one thing you can't explain, you can't prove scientifically. But that doesn't mean it isn't real.

Their heirloom cherry tomatoes make the BEST burst cherry tomato sauce for pasta. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/pasta-with-15-minute-burst-cherry-tomato-sauce-56390060 Seriously, everyone should try this.

Dude, don't be so negative. The right woman won't care if you have the skin of a sharpei or if you're still fat for that matter. I've been heavy my whole life. I've had lots of boyfriend's and two husbands. Fine, husband 1 was no prize, in fact, pretty much an @ss, but he was good looking and slim. #2 is the finest man…

I had an UP, just the basic one. I got it originally to see if I'd use a fitness tracker. Now I have a Fitbit, mostly because I wanted something with HR. I like my Fitbit, but I miss the Jawbone app. It was, in my opinion, superior to the Fitbit app and more user-friendly.

Fast is never the answer. Lose fast, regain faster. Try to keep in mind that slow and steady really does win. If you lose 1 lb a week, that's 52 lbs a year! If you lose 2 lbs a week, that's 104 lbs a year! 1 to 2 lbs a week is a reasonable, obtainable goal for most people. I never have "cheat days". I do have meals…

I get up in the morning (most days) and do 20 minutes on the elliptical I own before getting ready for work. I TRY to get up every hour and walk 2 "laps" around the entire building floor, which is right at 250 steps per my Fitbit. I walk 1+ miles before lunch (1/2 hour of walking, 1/2 hour of eating) and I park as far away…

Making more good choices than bad are what it's all about. Sounds like you have a solid plan to stay on track, notwithstanding your 3 slice binge.
-
That sounds delicious! I'm going to have to try that.

I like their unsweetened vanilla almond milk better then Silk. It's thinner and just more - milk like. Their vanilla Greek yogurt is the only one we buy and we eat it for nearly every breakfast. Their Savoritz brand of woven rosemary and olive oil crackers are better than Trisket. I find the produce can turn quickly, but…

Most people who know me consider me a little bit of a control freak...at least moderately anal-retentive. So why is my life so out of control? It's like I can only concentrate on ONE thing at a time. Right now, diet and exercise. My work is suffering. I'm very much behind and I find myself here, on MFP, a good portion of…

That's a heck of a walk for coffee. I'd need to drink a cup of coffee to wake me up enough to walk that far to get coffee.

I have a fitbit and so it gives exercise adjustment. I do eat them back...but I try to leave 100 to 200 calories on the books...so I'd say I eat 75% or so. I go to a dietician who has said she wants me at 1500 NET calories. So eating the exercise is expected.

I already get up an hour early to take turns with my husband on our elliptical. But that's only 1/2 hour (plus waking up, stretching and cooling down). I have an extremely sedentary job. I mean, it's nearly impossible for me to get in my 250 steps an hour my Fitbit asks me for because I'm usually in the middle of…

Yes, I probably would too. Sometimes they do surprise me though. Thankfully that's very seldom.

Government worker here too! Your tax dollars at work. Thanks for the tips! I'll get a more complete set of workout clothes here, some wipes, and look into the makeup mentioned. That'll help. I don't usually have to interact with the public, though when I do it's in a very formal matter. So while most of the time I…

Walking outside is best for me...really about all there is. No gym or anything close by. My car is a 5 to 10 minute walk away depending on where I park, so driving, working out, showering, makeup and back to work just isn't going to happen. I CAN walk indoors in a neighboring office building - they have a floor that lots…

I KNOW I'm going to sweat. :) The question is more...if you work out at lunch, what do you do (short of showering and starting over - I don't have that ability) to get yourself looking put-together for the rest of the day? Does anyone use any specific make-up or hair products that you find helpful? That sort of thing.

Another music person here. I pop in my earbuds, set my phone on Pandora and stream oldies as I walk. Nobody can touch you when you're listening to James Brown and Aretha Franklin - R E S P E C T!

I guess I do. On my anniversary this year my husband and I hiked some trails at a nearby state park. They have one trail that goes to a natural spring - 316 steps UP from the spring to the main trail. I took one look and said HELL NO! But I also said, "Next year, I'll do those stairs." So there you go...my non-number goal…

In my opinion, so long as you have a baby to nurse and other health issues, you need to have a doctors visit before you do anything drastic.

It does not bother me. Because it's bacon.

I saw this on another thread and thought it might actually be helpful. How long have you been at it? Did you set the 2,000 or did MFP? Are you SURE about your portions? Could be a lot of things...

Did you measure that beer with a liquid measuring cup, or weigh it? After all, the weight/volume on the bottle may be incorrect. >:)
