  • Started off the month with a couple of really difficult miles :/ 3/1 - 2 miles Ooh, @Elise4270 Angry Jogger always makes me chuckle! Upcoming Races: 12/3/16 SA Rock N Roll - 5K/10K
  • W6D3 today, and it was rougher than I expected. I had to walk for at least a couple of seconds almost every lap (at the local HS track). Not sure if it was just because I was tired and running later then normal or if I was trying to go too fast. I may repeat this one before tacking on the extra minutes in week 7.
  • So, I didn't quite make my February goal of 30 miles, but I was close enough that the extra couple of days in March should get me there. I've got three weeks left of C25K and then I'm planning to run for time/distance for a few weeks before working on a 10K distance. Since I walk on my off days, I'm going to set this…

  • Finished W6D1 last night - and somehow every single run started at the bottom of a hill, LOL!

  • Hi all - I'm 49 and keeping on after a small loss over the past year. Need to lose about 70 more (give or take some). My actual goal is to make Overweight (and not Obese) by my 50th birthday in September. Feel free to add me!

  • Ok, so I'm way behind on posting here....and I feel like I'm a little behind on miles, but I think that will work out by the EOM. 2/3 - 3 miles 2/6 - 4 miles - first ever beach run! 2/10 - 2 miles (actually, this was a brisk walk but I'm gonna count it!) 2/11 - 3.5 miles 12.5 miles/ 30 mile goal
  • I'm new and want to join this group for the motivation! I'm working on week 4 of C25K right now with a goal of running at least one 5K this spring (and I'd like to actually RUN it, rather than walk most of it). My goal for February is 30 miles - that will be a combination of running/walking with C25K.
  • So far, so good for days 1 & 2. Under my cals both days, and got in a pretty decent walk in today. Still working on getting in the water, but today was better than yesterday which was better than the day before.
  • I'm in! I'd love the extra motivation and I can do anything for three weeks. Goals: 1) Daily logging 2) Exercise at least 3x/week. 3) Drink water!
  • I second the notion of properly fitted running shoes. If you've already done that, then some other things to try are:* Exercises & stretches - sounds like you're already doing these, but you can check out Runner's World for more examples * Ice - 2-3 times a day, and especially after you run. You might want to use small…
  • We run in the late evening. It's too humid here in the mornings (usually around 99%), so just before or even after dark works better. Usually it's dinner around 6 and run around 9pm or so.
  • I'd like to go another round with this challenge!
  • I'm using the RunDouble C25k app to do c25k distance and not time. My W5d3 was a 2 mile run instead of 20 minutes, and it actually took me about 31 minutes to finish.
  • Did it! W5d3 is done... I can run 2 miles! When I started in March, I couldn't finish all the 60 second intervals. Yay!
  • Finished W5D2 last night. That's the first time in a while I've been able to complete a whole run - in fact I was stuck on week 4 for a few rounds.
  • I also have large thighs, calves, etc and my favorite shorts to wear are a pair of Nike Pro Combat core 7" inseam shorts. I think these are the ones, although mine have a pink waistband. I wear them both under other shorts and alone. I also run in capris, but I prefer the thinner ones meant for running and not the heavier…
  • Started with my vivofit about a month ago. Please feel free to add me - same name both places.
