I wore ASICS for years until I discovered Brooks. ASICS tends to run narrow in the toe box. I would always get wide, with Brooks, I just go with the normal, not a wide.

I’m 5”2, my low end is 118. High is 125. Bc we are short, a few pounds can make a big difference. With shutdown & wine consumption on the rise, I’ve gone up back up to 120. Not much difference for me from 118 to 120. But above 120-122, I start to see it in my lower abdomen.

Don’t be discouraged bc it seems like so much. A good friend of mine lost half of her body weight. She went from 285 to 140. It has been life changing for her. Everyone has a starting point. Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone’s chapter 15.

DMV as well.

MFP & Apple Watch don’t integrate well. I use the Pacer app and connect MFP & Apple Health to it. In MFP, use Pacer for steps. After a tracked workout, sync Pacer to MFP. You will get a double adjustment. One from Pacer, and one from Apple Health. Delete the Apple Health since it’s a double. When you sync at the end of the…

It’s normal. Don’t stress. I’m bn 118-120 and I can go up 5-7 pounds from having carbs, alcohol, cheese...it takes me a good 3-5 days to drop back down.

Are you breathing in and out from your nose or mouth? I can’t get enough air in through my nose when I run so I’m a mouth breather.

Apple Watch and MFP don’t integrate well. Download the free version of Pacer. Link Pacer to MFP and Apple Health. In MFP, select Pacer for steps. Once you log an activity in your Apple Watch, open Pacer and sync. In MFP, you will see 2 adjustments, one from Pacer, one from Apple Health. Delete the Apple Health bc it’s a…

I switched from Fitbit Flex to Apple Watch in March. I use Pacer to connect. The integration bn the Watch & MFP is wonky. I have my activity level set to not very active in MFP. My TDEE in Apple Watch roughy matches what MFP has. Your total “Move Calories” in Apple Watch will be your adjustment in MFP. I’m not sure if you…

When I got my watch in March I had similar situation as you with numbers not transferring correctly bn MFP and the watch. Like for a 4 mile run, and being active throughout the day, I’d earn 78 calories. My adjustment should have been much higher to match my TDEE in Apple Watch. Download the free version of Pacer. Link…

Congrats on the Watch. I gave my dad one in March as an early Father’s Day gift and got myself one too. Apple Watch & MFP don’t play nicely together. I had issues when I first got my watch & someone suggested that I download Pacer, and sync Pacer to MFP & Apple Watch. In MFP, select Pacer for steps, not Apple Watch. It’s…

I have crazy fluctuations & it can really effect my mental health. I go through phases where I won’t get on the scale. I’m 5”2 and 120, lowest weight for me is 118, so I can tell the difference with just a few pounds. If I see that daily weigh in is having a negative effect on me I back off. I see how I look daily and how…

A friend of mine had sleeve surgery December of 2018. At 5”5, she went from 285 to 140. She looks fantastic. Not too thin. And she plans on having skin surgery down the line. Maybe you aren’t used to seeing yourself at this new low weight. Like the above poster said, your brain hasn’t caught up to your new body.

I have an Apple Watch & use Pacer since MFP doesn’t integrate well with Apple Watch. Connect Apple Health & Watch to Pacer, and in MFP, select Pacer for steps. Do you track your home workouts in Apple Watch or just let the watch count movements and steps? If you end up using Pacer, and track a workout, you will see a…

Since lockdown I’ve been running 4 miles outside, 4-6 times a week. I breathe through my mouth, I can’t get enough air in & out breathing through my nose. Music has been what keeps me going. I was a treadmill runner before, and I found that I’m actually faster outside. On treadmill I was running bn 5.0-5.5 MPH. Outside,…

Ok great! You’re welcome!

Are you connected through Pacer on these?

But you only need…

@IDARae Do you have the Pace app connected to MFP and Apple Health?
-
I weight what I’m eating by the gram. I don’t eat the core so I cut that out. I’ve had my Apple come to more than 80 calories depending on size.
-
I think if you set your activity level to anything other than not very active, your adjustment will be too high. Your adjustment is your entire move goal calories. I’ve had mine set to not very active & my TDEE in Apple Watch & in MFP is roughly the same. If I set it to lightly active, MFP will have a higher TDEE bc it’s…

Switched from Fitbit to Apple Watch in March. I have all Apple products & love my watch.

I don’t have MFP on my watch. Just phone. I had it on my watch but found it wasn’t necessary for it to work once connected through Pacer.

Apple Watch & MFP don’t play nicely together. I had issues when I first got my watch in March & someone suggested that I download Pacer, and sync Pacer to MFP & Apple Health. It’s worked out since I’ve done that. I get a double adjustment after tracking a workout & syncing. I delet the Apple Health one since it’s a double.…

I run 4 miles a day and I started getting calluses on my toes. I’m a 7.5 and I always wore an 8 in asics. My sister is a runner and also a 7.5, she was fitted into a Brooks size 9. So I also purchased Brooks in a 9 and got Bombas socks. I highly recommend both. I had to go up 1.5 sizes for running. I had no idea that just…

I track my run in Apple Watch. MFP & Apple Watch don’t integrate well. I use the Pacer app and connect MFP & Apple Health to it. When I sync after I run, I get a double adjustment. @cupcakesandproteinshakes Thank you so much! I’ve struggled with accepting it all my life. I’m 5”2 so I’ve always felt like I looked “too big”. I have a sister that is taller and built completely different so I’ve always compared myself to her build. I appreciate all the positive feedback.
-
MFP is taking into account your activity level. If you put lightly active or active, the Fitbit adjustment is less. If you chose not very active, it would be higher.

It’s taken me years to accept that I won’t have thin legs. Gyms are mostly closed now, but my suggestion would be a progressive lifting program. The 10,000 steps a day won’t give you the results you’re probably looking for. I’m 5”2 and 118, this is the best my legs have looked. Am I happy with it, not really but I’ve…
