Hi, I'd be glad to friends add you for motivation and support. I'm 50 and working around some foot and knee issues, so I can relate. I admire you for losing that weight and keeping it off for 15 years. I've never been able to keep weight off for long. I'll send a friends request.

Good for you, starting your diet and fitness regime! And good for you, being out and proud. It sounds like you have a lot going for you, and somebody would be lucky to have you as a boyfriend. Keep on with your fitness and your interests (e.g., music) and you will find somebody worthwhile through these interests sooner…

Bad neighbors, especially loud ones, are the worst. You have my deepest sympathy!

I'd be glad to add you. Weight loss seems so much harder at our age, and I could use the support, too. :)

It's harder for those of us in our 50s, no question. I'm new to MFP and would be glad to add you. :)

Hand calipers (maybe $10 from Amazon) and the Aria Fitbit scale. The calipers put me at 35% and the scale at 38%. I'm treating it as a vague estimate for now and plan to measure once a month to see if I can track any reductions.

Community sounds good. Sent you a friend request. :)

Speaking as an American, I think the extraneous Us look refreshingly cool.

It helps me to have some sugar-free (no calorie) breath mints or chew on a sprig of mint. Helps distract me from thinking about food.

You can add me if you like. I'm new to MFP, but I know how it is to lose weight and then gain it back and then have to start over as I'm doing now. :)

One pound per week seems like a good rate. Best of luck to you!
