The difference I get between the elliptical machine and MFP estimates are staggering. If I spend 30-45 minutes mfp gives me a burn close to 700-800. I'm obese, but that just seems crazy high. The machine itself says 300-400 for the same amount of time. Which could also be wrong for all I know, but I log that lower number.

Take it from a heavy girl- don't log the cleaning & every day activities. By all means, clean your *kitten* off because while mfp overestimates the burn, you are still burning...just don't log it. If you're doing some sort of cardio log that, but still keep in mind the mfp burn estimate is overly generous most of the time.…

Croutons. Ugh. Turns out you get maybe 6 a serving (if you're lucky). So glad I got my scale!

My motivation is how close I got to seeing "300" on my scale. Never. Again. Quitting is just not an option anymore for me. I hope you can find something to ignite that spark in you again.

Any food is okay in moderation. Eat what you want, y'all!

*through the app I mean* is what that should say

That is how I always felt until I decided to 100% commit to this. I joined a gym to make sure I don't give up. That's a year long contract and I'm not going to let $30/month go to waste! Smartest move I ever made. Also, I learned how to really, really use MFP. I learned about calorie deficits, how to weigh my food, where…

I know nothing about protein powder, but my diary is an book. :-)

What about beans? Pasta, rice? Quinoa? These are things I work into my diet that help add some calories in smaller portions. I don't love nuts and nut butters except for almond butter. I haven't looked at your diary, so I don't know if any of these are things you eat. When all else fails, I add some cheese :-)

I do because I'm a notorious grazer. So, it discourages me from mindlessly popping food in my mouth. I know grazing on veggies isn't a big deal, but I'm trying to break the habit all together (because it's often things like crackers, chocolate, a spoonful of mashed potatoes, a few giant bites of pasta...you get my point.).…

Wow! Great job!

I'm not much of a gamer, but I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy nerd! Love Star Trek, Doctor Who, LOTR, Battlestar Galactica...just to name a few. :-) Add me if you'd like.

These graphs are super cool! I want to chart mine too! :-)

This is how I feel too.

When my husband(he was just my boyfriend back then) and I first moved in together we also had a roommate. A few friends came over to help us move into our new place. They were outside having a smoke and I had to go number 2 really bad. Our bathrooms were in our rooms and I was so scared of stinking up the room where my bf…

Yes! Tea is my saving grace! When I feel "snacky" I make myself a nice cup of tea. I have a wide variety of flavors to suit my moods, and it always feels like a treat. Or I'll have a cookie or two with my tea so I feel full, get my desired munchie food, and don't binge.

Although, I'm taking a break from working I am still home all day with my kids. So, the temptation is definitely still there. Yet, I actually feel like I have this under control. I bought a food scale, some snack bags, and I portioned out all my temptation foods. The plus side of that is that now my husband and kids get…

I would suggest getting a food scale and weighing your food. There is an awesome thread in general weight loss and support called Calorie Counting 101. It's near the top. A great read! I thought I was tracking my calories accurately before, but boy was I wrong!
-
And feel free to add me! I'm going to lose...aww I forget now...something like 150, but it isn't a nice round number so I keep forgetting. And I mean it- I'm going to. :-)

I love this!

There are so many things I thought I hated, but it turns out I just hated the way my parents cooked them! My favorite veggie? Green beans. I swore I hated them up until I was 19 and tried them at a friend's house because I didn't want to be rude. LOVE. You cannot put green beans in front of me now and not expect me to…

What's done is done. I can't go back in time and change that. I can only work on myself one day at a time. It's been a long road to self-acceptance, but I've finally realized that my weight loss journey isn't about punishing myself for how much weight I put on. I'm going to have good days and bad days, but I no longer…

The reason I have my hand like it is in my profile pic is to hide my double chin. :-P

You should track your measurements. I bet you'll see them go down! And it is more motivating to me when I see how many inches I've lost as well as pounds. :-)
-
I do too, but I've put my business on hold while I focus on getting fit and being happy. Or maybe I just lost my mojo because something I used to love was causing so much stress.
-
I love this!

Also, I'd guess you were 22 or 23. :-)
