What % calories from carb are you at right now? Maybe try increasing by 5-10% and see if that helps. Maybe you could try having some carb (fruit would be a good choice) 30 minutes or so before you exercise.

Are you eating enough carbohydrate?

OP, I am a dietitian. Here are my thoughts. When you need to treat a low blood sugar, you really need to use something that is going to be absorbed rapidly. I wouldn't worry about eating something "good" or "bad" or "healthy" or "unhealthy" when you have a low, you need to treat it ASAP with something that will be rapidly…

Quinoa seems to help me...

Good for you for tracking those calories!! I used to have a big problem with not tracking cheat days/meals, but I'm doing better this time around. Good luck going forward! Sounds like you have the right attitude!

^^^This is so true!! I am a registered dietitian and frequently see doctors handing out completely arbitrary numbers. Don't go by this. I would use what MFP tells you or calculate the TDEE method (or, see a RD!!! They can help you with the emotional eating aspect too).

Congrats!! I would ask your doctor for a referral to a registered dietitian.
