Hi, I am 55 yo and menopausal and keto is not working for me anymore. I am 5 ft 2 and 158. So I started macros. You can look it up. I am never hungry and I am on 1282 cal a day. I am finally seeing the scale go down. I have lost 5.2 in 3 weeks. My goal is 128-130

You are doing awesome. Keep on trucking.

Please send those pics. And woohoo to you! Great job!

@maybe1pe I lost 8 pounds and then nothing for 21 days. I looked online for ways to get the scale to go down and did three things. 1. Increased my water. 2. Cut way back on sodium. 3. Made sure to stay below my calorie allotment. Finally lost another 1.6

You can also put inspiring post it notes where you will see them daily.

I hadn't lost anything in 20 days and I hadn't cheated. So I looked up some ideas to get the pounds moving again. This is what I did. Increase water. Cut out as much sodium as I can. And stay under calorie count. Finally lists 1.6 this morning!

Every pound lost is one step closer to your goal.

I increased my veggies to half my plate at each meal to fill me up. And increased my water.

Awesome for you!

I had the same issue a few years ago, and for me it was because I had cut my fat too low. I started adding a tablespoon of peanut butter every morning. I just counted the calories into my plan, and my hair grew back. This is what worked for me. Your body does need at least 1200 calories just to function I heard also so on…

You look incredible! Congratulations! Your hard work is paying off?

How did you do it?

Your story is very inspirational. Especially in light of the fact that you don't seem to be stressing yourself out about it. I need to be more like that

I've done the keto diet and lost very well but missed my oatmeal. Starting again and couldn't decide whether to do keto or just count calories. I think I will follow what you did. Did you have a calorie limit as well? And if so, would you mind sharing that?

I put inspirational quotes on sticky notes on my bathroom mirror. Quote right now says, "sweat like a pig to look like a fox." I put a sticker on my calendar after each workout and guess what my stickers are "foxes". Haha! I also have a supply of fireballs. 20 calories each and keeps me from eating sweets. I also graph my…

Congratulations! Especially for not giving up when the scale was not showing your progress yet.

Trust the process!

I think you look much smaller. But you are right, if it was a very gradual loss, people that see you all the time will think you were always that small.
-
Congratulations on your weight loss! Pics really help us see our progress!

Congratulations. Hard work really does pay off!

Great for you!

I have had the same experience. I feel more satisfied and I just FEEL better. I also seem to sleep better. And my bloating has gone down especially in my stomach which is the last place that I lose. Thanks for the recipe website. I will check that out.

Thank you BecomingBane. I will definitely take all of this into consideration.

Then less salt IS probably why I've dropped 6 pounds in 6 days. That makes sense. Ok, so once the excess sodium is flushed out, then I should resume to calorie in/calorie out weight loss even if I continue eating "clean". I get it.

By clean eating, I was referring to eating non processed foods. I do weigh and measure my foods accurately. And I am still counting calories. I guess I AM considering that it would be better for me health wise.
-
Thanks. I am glad to hear that.

Congratulations! You earned it!
