Thank you and congratulations!

What would a typical day of eating be like for you. My goal weight is similar to yours.
-
Oh sorry. You said 1 year. How bout exercise?
-
Did you exercise to lose and how long did it take you?
-
Wow! You look fantastic! You worked for it. You earned it! Congratulations

I agree. Commitment means every day, even every meal and exercise, do it even if you don't feel like it!dont think about it, just do it!

I joined mfp in January. I have done weight watchers, Atkins, nutra system. I really prefer this. I am 10 pounds from goal and have found support here getting through trouble spots. Ex. Vacation weight gain and how to get back on track. In the past, I would give up and then have to start all over. You are not 'alone' here.

It takes a 3500 calorie deficit to lose 1 pound. So you can use a combination of diet and exercise to accumulate that. For one pound a week, total deficit of 500 a day.

You are doing fantastic! You should be so proud. Great that you are nipping this in the bud at a young age. You can do this! You deserve it!

In my case it did. I was at my heaviest and for the first time in my life I gained in my arms. I was having a hard time finding shirts that fit right, so I was glad when that went first. My stomach has gone down a lot but seems to be the last place I'm losing. When I am happy with my stomach I will be at goal!

Nice work! You must be so proud!

I have post it notes all over the house with motivational quotes. In my bathroom mirror "sweat like a pig to look like a fox" in my kitchen I have a magnetic calendar that I put stickers on each day that I have completed my exercise. I even found fox stickers. Lol. In my kitchen, "A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream…

I can get on my scale(same room) 5 times in a row and get a different weight. So I'm never 100% sure what my weight is. I usually take the first weight.

You could thank them for the invite but I would just say that I enjoy working out alone. I am the same way. I hate competition with others. I like to compete with myself trying to increase speed and mileage over time. That gives me a sense of accomplishment. I also up my sit ups even by one a day.

It is tempting to not try when we have a long journey BUT time will pass anyway. Put one foot in front of the other. Each pound lost is one step closer to your goal. AND you will begin to feel better about yourself and better in general right away.

Our stats are almost exactly the same. I also eat 1500 calories but probably should drop down now that I am down to 136. I plateau for several weeks then have a small loss at this point. I still need to lose 10 pounds. I've lost 31 so far.
-
I think we are close. I am a little shorter though. Height- 5'2" HW-167 CW-136-138 GW-125-128 I run 3-4 days a week for exercise and currently averaging 1500 calories a day.

I exercise in the morning before work so I drink a lot of water in the morning. So I have to pee a lot at work which is annoying. Then I try to get the rest of my water in as soon as I get home so I'm not peeing all night.
-
And have you noticed fat loss in your stomach? My stomach seems to be the last place I'm losing!
-
How long have you been taking magnesium supplements?

I also set my activity level at sedentary even though I run 3-4 days a week for 65 minutes each and have a waitressing job that gives me another 5 miles approx. a day. That way I can eat back about 300 of my exercise calories. So I eat 1500 on average actually even on my rest days!
-
I drink half my body weight in ounces of water a day. I started where you are and have lost 31 pounds so far. In the past when I exercised with diet, I got discouraged with no weight loss. I discovered through research that if you don't get enough water, your body will hold on to the water it has because when building…

I have a hard time sticking to 1200 even on rest days!
-
I'm 136 and losing slow at 1500 calories but that may be because I am now close to goal. I do run 3 days a week for an hour. I started at 1200 calories and 30 min. Walk/jog and built up my exercise and slowly added up to 1/2 the exercise calories. I have a hard time sticking to 1200.
-
Ok. Sounds like I just have to be patient
-
So it took about 20 weeks to lose the last 10? I am not unhappy with my weight, especially since I run. I feel that I lost more inches because of that, but I am anxious to get there? Seems like it's taking forever
-
Congratulations
-
Have you taken measurements? This also keeps you motivated as you see the inches go down
