  • I think the trick is you need to love yourself. This weight loss shouldn't be about anyone else. You are worth it. F**** being single or in a relationship. You matter. Never forget that.
  • Everytime my fiancé and I would go to his grandmother's for family gatherings, she would rub his belly, look me right in the eye and say "You really must feed him well!" Pissed me off so much.
  • between 5'3 and 5'4 (edit: i'm 24) 1230 cals, sedentary 143 currently 135 goal 1lb a week
  • Congrats! I've found its made a huge difference for me. If your looking for friends for support feel free to add me!
  • Bought my wedding dress yesterday and used that as an excuse to throw myself off the wagon. Humpty Dumpty cheese sticks (honestly I could live of them. Seriously snack food of the gods!), Lays original chips, beer, and today I made brownies. No regrets, just indigestion.
  • I nom 1/4 cup of raisins if I'm craving sometime sweet tends to take the edge off, and I have a cup of peppermint tea sweetened with splenda
  • 1200 Main meal is breakfast, medium lunch small supper If I'm under than I have a snack of raisins or a piece of toast depending on what I need
  • packed meals can make a huge difference
  • So first thing anyone is going to ask is your stats (height, weight, age) as those play a HUGE role in how many calories you should be consuming and how fast it will come off. 6 pounds in a month is not bad at all! that's over a pound a week. Men tend to loose weight much more easily then women, so comparing yourself to…
  • holy crap that's amazing! Huge congratulations!
  • Thanks! I was actually feeling really discouraged because my weightloss has pettered out, but working out and staying within the calorie limit has lost me inches, which matter WAY more to me!
  • almost fit in to a size 6 wedding dress, was trying on size 10

  • I think the thing to be concerned about is more how your feeling about working out, rather than the amount. You shouldn't feel guilty for not working out all the time. That definitely sounds like your treading into obsessive behaviour. Fitness is definitely a great thing to have in your life, but it should be just one part…

  • Apparently MFP tends to overestimate the amount of calories you are burning during your exercise, so you may be eating more calories than you should because of that. I've seen in other threads different places where people recommended other places to find calculators that I've now completely forgotten... Also just like…
  • Absolutely you are! And I'd love to be able to help out in any way!
  • Food scale and once you start slowing down on weight loss, or your having trouble staying under the calorie limit, try exercising! I've just started working out 5 days a week and it means I can eat basically anything I want! Helps a lot with cravings (which I really struggle with) and not feeling hungry all the time Good…
  • Oh that's a great idea! I've been using my laptop for youtube videos, but the size (and the fact that my cats insist on rubbing on it and pausing the video) makes that a pain. I'll try that!
  • Hi! SW: 155 CW: 143.5 GW: 130 I'm down a pound since last week :) Definitely putting more work into staying on track with my eating, drinking more water and doing workouts!
  • in season veggies are a must, usually cheaper! I also love using ramen noodles (use the knock off brand of mr.noodles, their super cheap) and without the flavor packs they aren't bad for you! Try getting your proteins on sale, and if you have one near you from Costco. For specific recipes you can add me and I'll share mine…
  • So long as your running a calorie deficit (eat less calories then your burning doing your regular movement + exercise) than you will continue to lose weight, even once you plateau. Also by increasing you exercise will increase how quickly you burn fat and can help you keep up the pace. Congrats on the weight loss so far!…
  • Hi! From my understanding of various cleanses, the medical profession has debunked the majority as either having no actual benefit for your health, or being actually harmful. Any time your doing something over a three or five day period its really to short of a time to do actual harm to yourself. Where your considering a…
  • Awesome thanks! As my fiancé rightly pointed out it really iliminates my ability to make excuses! Any time I'm watching Netflix or playing Destiny, I could be working out.
  • That's amazing! Congratulations! I'm at 11 down, 14 to go to get to my current goal. This latest time I'm feeling much better about sticking with it, but I've quit before, so any support is welcome! Please feel free to ad me and we can keep in touch and keep on track! :D
  • Glad you like it! I know when I first get back to watching what I eat, it feels like there are only three things I could possibly have while being reasonable, then I give up because I like food! hahaha
  • Almonds might not be the best choice, nuts in general are high in fat (good fat, but unless your very active it will likely still be to much) If you don't like regular proteins at all you can always get things like whey protein which can be added to smoothies and things like that. I was having the same problem as you at…
