Hi Holly. I've been using MFP for 90 days and love it. Down about 20 lbs so far. I turned 29 last month. If I keep it up, 30 will be a good year. Always looking for motivating friends on here. I log throughout the day, too.

I made a list of inspiring weight loss success videos from YouTube. I also like searching Pinterest for fitness blogs. http://www.fitnessgrudge.com/5-inspiring-weight-loss-success-videos/

I always have a healthier snack available. At the airport, on the plane, in the hotel room, or at the client site. I bring groceries to the hotel even though I almost never have a kitchen. I look up menus and pre-select an order before going out to eat. It isn't easy, but I ate whatever I wanted my first year of traveling…

Keep it up! Trying something new is difficult, but worth it!

I can't wait to try this recipe!

I'm newer too and also looking for friends. Anyone can add me. I'm a huge fan of simple, clean recipes. I cleaned up my diet 25 days ago and am already wearing the slightly-too-small jeans I had buried, tags attached, in my closet. I also went from "having" to take heartburn meds everyday to taking them once or twice since…

I made these baked sweet potato fries from Cookie + Kate last night: http://cookieandkate.com/2010/baked-sweet-potato-fries/ This one isn't 100% focused on healthy meals, but you can find some. The recipes are fun to read. http://www.budgetbytes.com/

How often do you track your weight? I'm a month into it and had a friend write down my weight so I wouldn't see it. I'll get too caught up in the number and lose motivation if it isn't what I expected. But, I also know I need that info to track progress.

I used to be a personal trainer and I'd lift weights all the time. I stopped and slowly gained a bunch of weight and hate going to the gym and seeing how out-of-shape I've become. I'm getting over it! Also recently engaged. MFP has been a huge help!

Thanks for the tip. I haven't used the 'save meal' option yet, but I also eat the same breakfast during the work week.

That sounds interesting. I rarely have rooms with kitchens so I either go out to eat or bring simple groceries back to the room. What options do you recommend?
-
I totally agree. I've found that I eat similar foods now. I recently selected a meal based on how easy it would be to log, but I don't do that everyday.

I didn't pay attention before, but think of all the unhealthy stuff at hotels. Happy hours, concierge lounges, waffle makers, etc. My last hotel had Oreos as a welcome gift. All nice things unless you're counting calories. I'm seeing the healthier options now (such as hotel gyms and oatmeal for breakfast).
