Interesting. I've been fixated on pancakes lately. I recently took up running, and I've heard runners need more carbs. Maybe that explains the pancake thing. Too bad I can't really indulge due to the calorie content.

Most of it is water weight. The few legitimate pounds of fat gain can be lost within a week or two. I think it's more important to figure out what triggers your binges so that you can address the root of the problem. I also binged badly this weekend, and have identified two main causes. The first is that I use it as a…

I get ravenously hungry in the days leading up to shark week. I usually allow myself a couple hundred extra calories, which is still enough of a deficit to not hinder weight loss. Once in awhile I am soooo hungry that I go way over. I don't really consider any of it a "pass" though because I always make up for any overages…

I have my whining days, mainly about my thighs, which still aren't what I'd like them to be. Mostly I'm smug though. I haven't been able to wear shorts in years, and I've already bought multiple pairs for this summer. Thy look cute on me, and range in size from 0-4 depending on brand. So that's lent to the smugness. It's…

I use my Fitbit exclusively. I have the Surge, so I figure it's pretty accurate since it monitors my heart rate. Just in case it overestimates a little though, I upped my weight loss goal from half a pound a week to a pound a week. That way even if it's a bit off, I should still at least lose the half pound.

I love real pizza, but growing up my dad used to tell me I wasn't a real Italian because I like pineapple on pizza, and "pineapples don't grow in Italy." He also told me real Italians don't eat Chef Boyardee. I only ate that as a kid, but I do still love pineapple pizza.

Today is finally my last day of making up for a week- long binge last week. Too much stuff to list it all, but here are some of the highlights: - Day 3: s'mores grahamfuls snack, half a curried turkey salad sandwich, potato salad, a large lemon cheesecake bar, at least a dozen ginger snaps, two spoonfuls of cookie butter,…

She specifically said sometimes she hates being a woman. Not always. Maybe your periods aren't that bad, but no need to get all judgy on women who just want to commiserate with other women who understand what they're going through. You can nonchalantly say that sure PMS can be bad, but how do you know exactly how bad it is…

It's been awful for me this month. I always get ravenously hungry starting the week before. I didn't want to go over my calories, so once the hunger hit I exercised a ton so that I could eat more. The extra exercise threw my body off and made my period late, although I still got cramps anyhow for 3 days until it finally…

Accidentally posted too quick. Meant to finish with, so you might just be having a brief plateau and then start losing again. I would try adding some extra exercise and see if that helps.

So far, I haven't been having any slow down. I'm down to my last 8 pounds. In mid January, I still had 17 to go. So 9 pounds in a month and a half is better than I expected now that I'm below my original goal and right in the middle of my healthy weight range. The main change I made was that I upped my exercise quite a…

Too funny. I have that song on my workout playlist. I'm doing C25K, and the other day I completed a 20 min jog for the first time. My chest was hurting after, and right as I'm wondering if that was normal or a sign of a problem, that song came on! I had to change it because it was making me paranoid.

My boyfriend loves them and has turned me into a fan as well. Lol.

As others have said, calories. That's really it. Cutting out certain foods is not necessary. I haven't cut out any foods that I enjoy. Not even the refined carbs and sugar that some seem to think are so evil. I've lost 47 pounds and gotten my BMI down to 21.6 with no restrictions other than CICO. Still seeing consistent…

I love oatmeal! I eat it almost every day for breakfast.

I used to hate jogging and refused to even try. Then I began C25K and learned to love the feeling I'd get after a workout, so I stopped hating it and started tolerating it. Today was my first day of Week 5, and also the first day I genuinely enjoyed the jogging itself. Woohoo, never saw that coming!

I'm also not a morning person, but once I decided to give morning workouts a try, I ended up really preferring them. I go before work, and on an empty stomach. I wear my workout clothes to the gym and bring my work clothes and everything I need to get ready with me to the gym. I get all my stuff together the night before…

I ate 1200 when I was taking it. In the first few weeks, when my appetite was really small, I ate high calorie things like peanut butter to get in the 1200.

Almost all medications come with risks. Even things like ibuprofen. Yet most people still take medications when needed or as prescribed by their doctor. If a medical professional thinks there is more benefit than risk, who are you to say they're wrong? Phen is NOTHING like being on speed. A Red Bull would make me feel more…

I am in the same predicament as you. Skin and bones on top, but those damn thighs just won't slim down as much as I'd like. I'm shooting for another 10 pounds down. I figure at some point it *has* to come off. If not, then at least I can say I tried.

5'7", 140 lbs, 34 yrs old. I haven't measured since I was at 147 lbs. At that time, I was I think 35-27-37. Clothing size varies based on brands, probably most common is a 4 in pants, XS in tops. Goal weight 130. Final 10! Can't wait to get to maintenance.

I started losing weight in September, and got into a regular fitness routine about a month ago. I've been at a healthy weight for a few months, but now that I'm fine tuning and really changing my body, I finally inspired my boyfriend to join MFP yesterday. I'm really proud of him for taking the first step, and of myself…

I doubled my cardio yesterday in preparation for what I knew would be a calorie heavy dinner at a friend's house. Still went waaaay over. I logged the dessert onto the next 3 days instead of logging it yesterday. Not really a cheat since it keeps my weeky goals on track that way, but any of my friends who look at my diary…

Strengths: I am very good at sticking to my deficit goals. Pretty much obsessively good. Even if I do make a mistake and go over, like when I was home sick and boredom ate, I will make up for it in the following days so that my week always ends exactly as it should. I've also recently gotten really good about exercising. I…

Anyone can add me! I'm down to my last 10 pounds, but lost 45 already so I know the struggles that come along the way. I'm also working on my fitness goals and doing C25K. My diary is open to friends. Full disclosure: If you're looking for healthy eating inspiration, you won't find it with me. However if you'd like to see…

I finished W4D1 of C25K this morning. I had to push myself really hard to get through it, but I did it.

Says who? I've continued to lose and know other people who have as well. I went from overweight to the top of my healthy weight range while on phen. Since then, I've lost an additional 19 pounds without it, surpassing all other past weight loss efforts by 5 pounds already and still losing. Besides, I don't see how getting…

Everyone is different of course, but I didn't have any of the negative side effects that others mention other than dry mouth. The first day or two I felt petty amped up, but nothing like being on speed. More like the feeling of having an energy drink. After that it wore down to the equivalent feeling of a cup of coffee. No…

Exactly. We all have to choose our own life paths and do what makes sense for us. I majorly boredom ate a few weeks back when I was home with the flu for 4 days. Nothing is more boring than being home sick, so it's easy to revert into bad eating habits. For me it was a bag of mini Kit Kats, lots of saltine crackers, a tub…
