  • I am almost 8 years out, feel free to add me too!
  • I am almost 8 years out and I eat about 1000 - 1200 a day with excercise.
  • I am almost 8 years out and I still feel that I look like the heavier person that I once was. I lost 115 lbs (size 22/24 to size 8) and to this day, I am constantly asking my husband "do I look like her?" or I am pointing out a bigger person and telling him that is how I feel. He is always telling me "no way, you are much…
  • I agree with you, I have no regrets. I love my new life. Yes, we had the surgery, but it is a life changing event. We still have to watch what we eat, excercise and maintain our nutrient levels. We too made a sacrifice to make this life decision.
  • Welcome back, I am new here, and I am enjoying the conversations with fellow VSGers. I am almost 8 years out and I needed to return to my beginnings and refresh why I made the life change.
  • It's driving me crazy, is there a problem with the site?
  • I am over 7 years out with my sleeve and I still have to throw up now and then. Yes, I have the same cue "the hiccups" as well as the uncomfortable feeling of heaviness. It does not happen often, but it is a good reminder to slow down and chew your food well.
  • Wish you the best of luck. Consider this your new birthday!

Within the last 2 years, it really got out of control and my periods were non-stop. I tried several different alternatives but ultimately I wound up having a hysterectomy, hoping my anemia would…
  • Yes, I do agree. I am almost 8 years out and I still get cold, but not as much. I know that my anemia affected my body temperature as well. Make sure you are eating your protein and are getting enough iron. It took me years to actually realize that I could not survive on just the minimum, I needed to work on my iron. I…
  • I have experienced the same feeling off and on for the past 7 years. I found out that a lot had to do with my anemia. Are you making sure you are getting enough protein and iron? Now that I really made an improvement in this area, it really has helped.
  • Hi, I had my sleeve 6/2008. I lost over 115 pounds and I have kept it off for the majority of the years. I had a hysterectomy 7/2014 and I slowly gained 15 pounds. I joined this group to hear your stories and for motivation.
