  • I think a couple of years is somewhat optimistic! I'm aiming for a 10k by the end of the year :) I am in awe if anyone who can run such a distance!
  • It's nice to hear that there are others who also love to run outside. I can't stand the gym and thoroughly look forward to my runs outdoors, even if the weather is less than optimal :)
  • So do I! I am very overweight and just the first week left me thinking I was going to die. I've now completed W9D1 and I love this programme. I'm not yet running 5k but I am running for 30 minutes (and then some) at a time. After my last workout this week I am going to continue running three times a week or more and start…
  • Fit for a fatty, even.
  • Managed to push through the mental barrier I hit at the end of week six and completed W7D1 today. I'm super slow, but I still managed to jog for 25 minutes (I was really waiting for the end of it, though). And that was after doing Day 1 of the 30 Day Shred this morning. I have a LOT of weight to lose, but am pretty for for…
  • Thank you! I'm doing as you suggest, one session at a time, and I'm really enjoying it :)
  • W6D3 complete. I have to fit my runs in with someone looking after the baby, so will be doing W7D1 tomorrow.
  • I agree with all the other posts here. I've just completed W6D3 and the trick is to keep it slow. This is my second go at this workout as I went too fast last time and burned out. It was so disappointing. Today went so much better. It's definitely a mental barrier. W7 is all 25 minute runs. Already I am feeling…
  • I'm from the UK, too. Feel free to add me!
  • Last week I did my 20 minutes dodging black ice and came back with ice in my hair! I got home feeling like Superwoman. I like your thinking. As long as I get out, I've not failed. You're a star, thank you!
  • Thank you so much, Jus. I felt like I'd failed when I couldn't do W6D3 and am now redoing both D2 and D3. Now I'm just going to be taking each as it comes and if I have to re-do I just need reminding that it's not a bad thing and I just need to work a little more at it. I was built for comfort, not for speed.
  • I'm new to the MFP forums and this thread. I re-did W6D2 today because my last run was W6D3 and I wasn't able to run for the 22 minutes so thought I'd re-do my troublesome run and the one before it. Today's two 10 minute stretches was hard but totally doable. On Sunday I will be re-trying the 22 minutes. I started (but…
  • I am doing exactly the same. I've lost almost 2 stone with Slimming World since December and am using MFP to track my progress.
